The shameful non-coverage of 9/12
WorldNetDaily ^ | SEPTEMBER 13, 2009 | Joseph Farah

Posted on 09/13/2009 10:04:44 PM PDT by RobinMasters

I knew the media were out of touch with the American people.

I've known it for 25 years.

It's why I do what I do.

It's why I created WND.

It's why I wrote the book, "Stop the Presses: The Inside Story of the New Media Revolution."

It's why I have devoted my life to reminding my colleagues and others about the critical role of the free press in a free society.

Nevertheless, even I was shocked at the abysmal, inexcusable non-coverage of the massive rally and march in Washington this weekend to protest government's abusive and unconstitutional excesses and power grabs.

How many people have to march on Washington before the major news media take notice?

How many tea parties and town halls does it take for the major news media to recognize the American people are peacefully voicing their concerns and deserve to be heard?

Why are the major news media, which are supposed to serve as a watchdog on government waste, fraud, abuse and corruption complicit in those things and betraying their mission to maintain a free and open society based on the principle of self-governance?

I bet if everyone in the march had firearms the media parrots would have been broadcasting live to the World, while calling the Pentagon for back up.

It's really simple.

Today I went out for a brief errand. I was waiting at the corner to cross the street, and heard a couple of voices behind me discussing health care policy. I turned and saw two women in their thirties walk past, deep in conversation.

They have probably been following the major broadcast and print media for their “news,” and have been told by these outlets that this topic should occupy their minds.

Even when I was a contractor and paid for my health expenses out of my own pocket, I was never this obsessed about it.

What media?
There wasn't much coverage because we don't have a main stream media.
That's the problem.
What calls itself the "media" is, in reality, the propaganda wing of the DNC.

What's the solution to this problem?

Why? Because they're liberals, iow, crazy.

You were expecting - What?

The best that can be expected is to piss of the MSM or even put the “Fear of God” in them.

Oh Right! I Forgot! They don’t believe their is any God but Obama.\

Oh what the hell. Lets just piss them off and leave it at that!

Simple. The Obowma White House is the instrument of the MSM.

I used to think it was the other way around, but was wrong. The MSM owns the white house and the democrat party is owned by Geo Soros.

Non-coverage? There was a helluva lot more than I expected. CSPAN gave it 3 hours and you can replay it on the website. There was alphabet network coverage, lots of individual newspaper coverage, even the Slimes and the Wapo. And the wire services.

Some of the stories were actually decent. For the MSM, that is.

When the Lamestream media sat on the story of violent rape by Bill ‘blister crank’ Clinton and actively ran interference for the scumbag, I knew we were in deep kimchi. It’s got a lot worse since then.

This is the final nail in the coffin of the “mainstream” [ not so mainstream after all ] media because they will not be able to continue ignoring the people for long. This forever proves that they are beyond biased but are downright censors of events they do not approve of. Their attempts at marginalizing the American people is backfiring & only turning even more people off from their disinformation rags & vapid news programs. This in one of the main reason why the alternative & internet based media is growing.

When the Media lies by omission and refuses to cover newsworthy events, they lie.

Pretending something NEVER happened is a lie.

Abortion is a lie.

As was their biased coverage giving the dozens who rallied behind Cindy Sheehan exposure.

And now hundreds of thousands of people “just happened to be at the same spot”.

A month ago they were celebrating a moment in American history when hundreds of thousands of people peacefully (largely but not entirely) gathered for Woodstock 1969.

But this goes down the Stalinist revisionist history memory hole.

Relative non-coverage. There was a posting earlier today to the effect that a google search returns a 50:1 or 100:1 ratio (depending on search phrase phrasing) for news coverage of 0’s “rally” vs coverage of the FreedomWorks march.

How about a letter campaign to the major tv advertisers letting them know that we are tired of not being able to get any news on the major networks - acorn story, 9/12 party - so we are just letting them know their advertising dollars spent for any news for abc/nbc/cbs/cnn/msnbc is being wasted unless those agencies want to report all the news instead of just bambi approved.

Only 1 person if it is a libtard protesting anything to do with Republicans or Conservatives.

They noticed. They just chose to ignore it. Sort of like the proverbial elephant in the room, though, you would think.

Nearly 2 million people showing up for a peaceful protest rally in D.C. SHOULD have been front page on every newspaper in the country and the primary topic on every Sunday talk show and news program.

SHOULD HAVE BEEN..

Even with the coverage there was, which was a lot more than I expected especially out of C-Span, it was a reminder that we DO NOT have any acceptable news media in America.

That includes FOX. I am in Eastern Europe and do not have access to the cable channel but the internet feed was better on C-Span.
