We will be having a BUY-Cott at our local Whole Foods Market to support their championing of a private health care system based on free-market principles.
Come on down, there's a 5% discount waiting for you! Buy some great produce and meat, sample their awesome salad/soup/hot foods bar, with fresh sushi, pizza, sandwiches, a full-service deli, a cheese and olive bar, and even a seafood soup bar! We can carry our purchases outside and eat in the shady north side of the store.
You’re all more than welcome to join us!
Momma just dropped $230 shopping at the Whole Foods in Denver (off I-70 on the west side of town). She said the place was packed. ;o)
I went to one of their stores to show my support and I found they carry beef bacon! I loved beef bacon when I was a kid. Haven’t been able to find it anywhere until now.
THANK-YOU AND GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU FOR SUPPORTING THIS
CAUSE,IMAGINE A BUSINESS CEO WILLING TO CONTINUE BENEFITS
FOR ALL HIS EMPLOYEES WITH NO GOVERNMENT HELP, AND A LIB AT THAT!!!
I’ll be there!
We’ll go to Whole Foods tomorrow in Tigard, Oregon...in support!!!
I gotta say, when I need some good meat for a dinner party, that’s my first point of call. The prices are hefty, but the quality beats the heck outta anyone else.
Other than that, however, they’re a bit too Berserkeley for my tastes.
I was just in there today to buy some organic ground beef for my weekly open faced tartar sandwich with chopped onions, horse radish, capers and raw egg yoke!!!
I’m looking forward to meeting you! If you go to the linked page you can see my picture!
I absolutely love Whole Foods, I wish I could drop by.
I’m going to make it a point to stop at my local Whole Foods this week...love their fish department! Expensive, but great for the occasional treat. Plus, they have some good selections of coffee and wine.
Now that conservatives are patronizing Whole Foods, perhaps the environment will be a bit friendler. When I go in after work in shirt and tie, I sometimes get dirty looks from the earthy crunchy college town leftys!
I have already bought some vitamins at my local Whole Foods. I demanded to speak to the manager, and when she finally appeared, I informed her that I went out of my way to buy them there instead of my usual health food store purely out of appreciation for John Mackey’s WSJ editorial and the soundness of his reasoning. She thanked me and said she had changed the minds of some of those who complained about the editorial by pointing out the logic of his reasoning. She added that she and her employees felt “truly blessed” by the value of their health care coverage and the way they are treated by their corporate headquarters.
Has the store been suffering?
That is awesome. I think I will do the same thing, although they know we are coming.
I doubt it, there are few stores with the selection and quality of Whole Foods, but the liberals have mounted a well-publicized boycott of the company. So, we are fighting back with our patronage!
Whole Foods always seems crowded at lunchtime!
Sadly I’ll be giving them hundreds every week BUYcott or not!! They have the best food in my area.
Sounds like fun!
We have dietary issues in our family that require us to shop at "health food" stores, so I'm in Whole Foods here in Colorado a lot. While they can be expensive, it's possible to get great deals on food there if you shop carefully (I've seen signs in the ones here for free "classes" in shopping their stores for bargains.
Hands down, Whole Foods consistently has the nicest employees of any store. They will go out of their way to find things or find out if they can get things they don't carry.
They are always nice to our kids - they usually have free fruit leather samples at the front for children, and it's rare that an employee doesn't offer to go get them for the kids.
They are consistently voted one of the best places to work: http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/bestcompanies/2008/full_list/
As a Libertarian-Conservative, it was so nice to hear the company president say what he said. Just one more reason to shop there.
