Rep. Paul Hodes (D-N.H.) announced today he will not support the resolution reprimanding Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) for accusing President Obama of lying about his proposed health-care legislation, signaling Democratic leaders will lose some votes Tuesday when the roll is called.

They are against it because they know of their own party’s hypocrisy which will be used against them.

They want to reserve the right to do it to the opposition in the future

Congress can stay wrapped up in this for the next year, for all I care.
That would be better for the country.

they want to get reelected in 2010 - they can ignore the Tea Parties - but they saw them - they saw the town halls...they see the falling away of obama-worship...

Their first concern is their own butts

What’s funny is that at this very moment, the Senate is writing language which prevents illegal aliens from being able to get health care insurance. So, the Senate is assuring what the President said was not in his bill.......the very thing Joe Wilson accused Obama of lying about.

It seems there is nothing of any value at all that these bodies of govt do in DC. Nothing.

They just continue to find ways to waste the people’s time and resources.

My congressman will vote to sanction Joe Wilson.

And he’ll be the last House Majority Leader for the Democrats for a long, long time.

Apparently some congressional Democrats are beginning to realize that their careers are poised to go down the proverbial drain if they continue to play on this fake ‘outrage’ over a minor incident that many Americans sympathized with. Obama’s star is clearly falling and the CYA Democrats in congress - some, anyway - are not about to crash to earth with Barack Obama. Hey, politics is a tough game.

Why are some Democrats so eager to go after Joe Wilson? After some of the stupid things Democrats have said and done?

Can’t we all just chalk it up to how crazy politics can get? Obama’s a big boy, Nancy P. is a big girl; do these people really need to make their political statement about something like this??????????

IIRC, Rep. Wilson had just been involved in the House debate to insert a restriction similar to the Senate-version into the House-version and saw it specifically voted down.

So, Obama was lying when he said the bill wouldn’t allow illegal aliens into the system. It would.

The media just spun it as looking for ‘a statement allowing’ illegal aliens when the issue was ‘a statement preventing’ illegals from participating was specifically voted down.

Ya gotta watch how the lie is told. These people are masterful liars. Always misdirecting.

“Democratic leaders will lose some votes Tuesday when the roll is called.”

The votes and not theirs to lose. They get one vote.

I have such a headache. The Democrat party is full of ‘certain-aged’ 7th graders with rubber bands, ink wells and paper airplanes. Next they’ll be passing out Beeman’s gum or wax lips and get caught passing notes.

Apologies to real 7th graders.

I just watched the vote on C Span. It looks like about 12 Dems voted against and 7 Repubs crossed the line and voted for. It passed generally alomg party lines as expected.

I hope someone at Fox picks up on this. Only Krautheimer (sp?) would be savy enough to divulge this info. We know the MSM wouldn’t be smart enough to realize what you just wrote.
