IF he said it, it sounds more to me like he meant the position of being thrown into the national scene as in the MEDIA on a campaign trail. And she was put through the ringer, as was her family. She handled it well, however. I read it to mean he was concerned about that, after meeting her, not that she wasn’t prepared to be VP.
Sadly, and much to my disappointment, same here.
He seemed to lose all his fire after losing Congress.
Sarah kept McCain in the game and kept the election close.
Thanks to Sarah, instead of McCain getting totally embarrassed by a good old fashioned, one sided ass whipping, he lost by a margin of only a few percentage points.
In retrospect it might have been better if she had not helped him avoid a solid trouncing.
He thinks he is still a contender and the GOP thinks they can get back in the game by just polishing up a few of their standard lies.
There are two denials on this particular story.
And even if there was some truth to it, it doesn’t really reflect badly on Palin for the President to be noting that she wasn’t a national figure yet.
Even the statements attributed to him didn’t say that.
If Sarah wins 2012, care to guess how many of these schmucks will come to DC, hat in hand, asking for a job?
Well, but the MSM thinks Sarah is an idiot, so Bush is obviously a genius, right?
