A shipwreck apparently containing toxic waste is being investigated by authorities in Italy amid claims that it was deliberately sunk by the mafia.

An informant from the Calabrian mafia said the ship was one of a number he blew up as part of an illegal operation to bypass laws on toxic waste disposal.

Perhaps we will see the Sea Shepard try their tactics on these boats.

I might watch the show if they did that.

Was that wrong?

Because, when we got this waste disposal contract no one told us we couldn’t sink these ships.

If someone had just TOLD us this was not allowed, we NEVER would have done it.

Considering the amount of shipping sunk during WW-II, incidents like this and the Valdez oil spill are nothing.

It would be scary to see all the “stuff” at the bottom of the gulf. The amount of trash we threw overboard, was astronomical, and we were just one of hundreds of ships in the area at the time. A couple hundred years of shipping and a couple of wars the ocean floor is a museum of world history.

“Perhaps we will see the Sea Shepard try their tactics on these boats.

Amen to that!

You should be put in charge of programming on cable outlets like
The Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and History Channel.

I’m very happy to say I’ve never watched a solitary second of the
Sea Shepard (I presume from the commericals) shows.
I just couldn’t stand the sermonizing I suspect is present in that series.

It's worth watching just to see the droopy, teary long faces of the Sea Shepherd crew every time the Japanese whalers haul in a catch for slaughter.
