1. Kennedy
2. Roosevelt
3. Rockefeller
4. Harrison
5. Adams
6. Bush
7. Frelinghuysen
8. Breckinridge
9. Taft
10. Bayard
Based on family members who served as president, vice president, U.S. senator, U.S. representative, chief justice of the Supreme Court, state governor, and in Cabinet positions.
Any Harrison’s left out there?
Frelinghuysen?
They must be giving equal weight to bloviating in the Senate and running the executive branch of the government.
“Kennedy over Roosevelt? JFK was President for less than 3 years, the two Roosevelts for nearly 20 years between them.
They must be giving equal weight to bloviating in the Senate and running the executive branch of the government.”
Not to mention the Roosevelts were infinitely more effective presidents than JFK (like them or not).
It’s also absolutely absurd to rank the Kennedys above the Adamses. The Adams family produced two presidents and arguably the greatest American diplomat (Charles Francis Adams). JA and JQA also had great political careers even outside the White House.
I don’t like dynastys.
But I would have to say that the Bushes (2 Presidents, a Senator, and a Governor) are the #1.
Racist? You’re right.
They should have added the Obama dynasty. I’m not seeing that “dynasty” has to be confined to the US.
We have Barry here in the US, and his cousin Odingo in Kenya.
That counts for somethng, right?
Kinda suprised no one yet has pointed out the obvious dynasty missing from this list......
What about all the generations of Hamilton Fish? based on longevity they’d win hands down.
