Oh, so ACORN thinks that since they got caught in multiple illegal transactions, that they will just appoint an “independant” agency to investigate themselves? Gee, they really DO think Americans are D-U-M-B!
To: jazusamo
“The Advisory Council includes John Podesta, president of the liberal Center for American Progress; Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, a former lieutenant governor of Maryland; Andrew Stern, international president of Service Employees International Union; Henry Cisneros, a former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development; John Banks, vice president of Government Relations Con Ed; and Eric Eve, senior vice president of Global Consumer Group, Community Relations, of Citigroup.”
Podesta and Stern from SEIU. They call this independent.

“ACORN to seek independent review”
Um, ACORN, James and Hannah have already performed an “indepedent review”. Tune into the Glen Beck Show if you want to see the findings.

I've seen Podesta's name popping up all over the place.
He's been appearing a lot on TV lately too.
Usually he likes to operate in the shadows. His sudden appearances must mean he senses big troubles ahead.

RAHM: Lo?
ACORN EXEC: Yo, Rahm! We all gotta problem here!
RAHM: Yea, Bro! How you git yoself in such a mess? Bro Bambi isn’t happy ‘bout this, man.
ACORN EXEC: Thas why I be callin’. I be needin a good ole Chicago auditor to come in an, you know, fix thangs.
RAHM: I know just the firm to do it. Leave it to me, Bro.

His sudden appearances must mean he senses big troubles ahead. Lets hope so, he and ACORN need to go down hard.

I was mistakenly assuming that ACORN would be defunded, criminally investigated, and disbanded. The ACORN administrators are suggesting that a little cleaning up is all that will be required.
Too big to fail?
To: existtoexcel
I can’t imagine them not being investigated by Justice but then we’ve never had someone like Holder running Justice before.

Exactly. Either the tapes are doctored or ACORN is rotten to the core? Sounds like the heat has been turned up exponentially.

the Association of Community Organizations for Reform would name an independent auditor and investigator I call bull shiite.
Let Congress appoint a Special Prosecutor to clean this crap hole organization out and shut it down.

In addition, I'll bet they either erect metal detectors or institute strict body and package searches at all ACORN offices.
Can't have any more of those pesky audio/video recording devices making their way in!
