The beating of a black female Army reservist outside a Georgia restaurant is being investigated as a possible hate crime, federal authorities said Wednesday.

Tashawnea Hill was kicked and punched by a white man Sept. 9 as he screamed racial slurs outside a Cracker Barrel in Morrow, about 15 miles southeast of Atlanta, police said. Troy D. West, 47, became enraged when Hill told him to be careful after he nearly hit her 7-year-old daughter while opening the restaurant's door, police said.

Dear Jesus, why did I click on that link? More to the point, why did the Carr brothers do what they did to those young people? How could they have so much hate and rage? Please provide comfort to the victims families and friends and hold the victims souls in your loving hands. As for the Carr brothers, I am sure you have a sepcial place picked out just for humans that have taken on the roles of evil on earth.

Do the Carr brothers continue to infest this planet or have they been executed?

Ya know, I don’t really care. I hope they wring every bit of punishment out of the charges that the law allows.

They’ve been tried, and I think we’re still waiting for sentencing.

A “hate crime”, as a criminal statute, is a CRIME against the Constitution because it criminalizes THOUGHT - the motive of the accused - as an independent “crime”, yet not even “hate” itself is prosecuted equally, no matter the basis of that hate, but only selectively for those who qualify for the selective application of prosecuting people for their thoughts.

Is a woman less of a victim if she is brutally attacked by someone simply because they “hate” her than another woman whose attacker hated her for one of the qualifying conditions? NO!!!!

So, “hate” is in fact, by “hate crime” laws, as they stand, not a crime, unless some special category of persons is “protected” from such “hate”. Thus, even the “equal protection of the law” standards should shoot down all so-called “hate crimes”.

The knowledge that these laws ARE about thought crimes - criminalization of people’s thoughts - is apparent in academia and some other circles where it has become a frequently accepted rationale, based on such laws, to take them beyond their application when some physical attack has been involved to making illegal any oral or written expression that also reflects one of the UNPROTECTED classifications of hate.

Of course, many Constitutional scholars who opposed these laws all along KNEW that was the slippery slope down which they would take us.

Eaxactly.

And the proponents of “hate crime” legislation know this, too. That is precisely why they want “hate crime” (aka “thought crime”) laws.

One of the articles said they had been sentenced to death. I was just wondering if they had been “put to sleep” yet.

On a Good News front here in Virginia. I heard this A.M. that a November death date has been set for John Allen Mohammed, the so-called “DC sniper”.
