Somalia Strike-Down

Terrorism: At a time when the public is losing heart on the war in Afghanistan, a decisive strike on Somalia's al-Qaida chief Monday reminds us that victory is possible and President Obama is an able leader on this front.

Ten days ago, Obama signed an executive order authorizing U.S. special forces to hunt down and blow away Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan, a ruthless Kenyan-born terrorist operating out of Somalia. In 1998, Nabhan had a role in the bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya, which left 212 dead, including 12 Americans. The attack was so vicious, it put Osama bin Laden on the FBI's most-wanted list and al-Qaida on U.S. policymakers' map.

After that, Nabhan moved on to more bombings , killing dozens in a blast at an Israeli-owned hotel in Nairobi and launching a failed anti-aircraft attack on a civilian jet in the same city in 2002.

The ground hot under him, he moved from the dangerous slums of Nairobi to the badlands of Somalia, his brutal tactics making him al-Qaida's top man in Mogadishu.

The 28-year-old thug ran terrorist training camps, shook down civilians for cash and, according to the Christian Science Monitor in an Aug. 28 report, commanded a jihadi army of 180.

His final scheme was luring young Somalis settled in Minneapolis to his terrorist camps for training and returning them home to await instructions. His success in that is unknown. But his operation won't be easy to continue without him.

Obama is capable. He sought revenge for an attack on his home country of Kenya.

Unfortunately, he may just look the other way with an attack on the United States of America.

But don’t mess with Kenya, hell hath no fury like an usurper with command over the worlds most powerful military seeking revenge for an attack on his home country.

I thought the Rats were against targeting individuals for assassination?

I wonder if that terrorist was read his Miranda Rights before they blew his ass up?

On the other hand, if they hit us here, Obama will declare a state of emergency, seize the internet and everything else connected to communication. The ACLU won’t utter a peep.
