I wonder if O’Keefe and Giles did a comparison “sting”, where they selected a legitimate mutual aid organization to present their story to, in the expectation that they would be kicked out. If they have such a tape, that would make ACORN look all the more criminal.
What a delightful thought !!! That would be a wonderful control to show the contrast between ACORN and a real outreach organization. It would be nice to think that they thought of it, but that’s awfully sophisticated (Machiavellian) for such young kids. Tho, they at some point apparently were getting some advice, so maybe said advisor did suggest an alternative mission.
I can’t say I would EVER in my life have had the idea much less the nerve to do what they did. Every time I think of them and what they did, I just have to smile.
