My congressman’s name was on the no list. Cleaver. Can’t stand that guy! Another career politician. He’s been around since I was a little girl. Ugh!
HE has to either sign or veto it.
I’m not sure what the law is about “pocket vetoes” but I believe that after 30 days or so the bill will become law if he doesn’t sign.
I’m sure a knowledgeable FReeper will let us know.
That would be nice but the fact is that most of them are in safely gerrymandered districts of the type that got Tom DeLay in so much trouble. But, of course, it was OK for the Dhimmis to do it.
He wanted to investigate ACORN a few months ago but the Dhimmi leadership talked him out of it.
Maybe ACORN just rubs him the wrong way. He’s an old crank—who can say?
vetoing this would make it look like a race issue because it’s mostly black congressmen voting to save ACORN.
There will be a signing statement.
ACORN funding is written into the law, so does this mean that congress is repealing the stimulus?
It sounds like the House bill is intended to do that since it supposedly eliminates ALL ACORN funding.
We’ll see how ACORN tries to get around it. Of course, the House and Senate bills need to be reconciled and Zippy will need to sign the end result, which is no sure thing. There should be plenty of votes to override a veto, however.
Don’t forget the 7 Senators.
OR...do a one stop shop and compare to THESE people!
Most of those in the other caucuses appear on this list along with the white communists.
