I thought the killing of Harvey Milk was a revenge killing because Milk was a back-stabbing piece of exc rement who had screwed Dan White in a back room deal.
Now, maybe Milk’s approach was more concentrated in the “Gay” community, but it certainly was a causitive factor in his own demise.

What I remember about the Harvy Milk murder is that both Milk and the mayor, Moscone, had somehow maneuvered Supervisor Dan White to resign. He thought about it, can came back and said he didn't want to resign. Moscone said - tough luck - you're out. Dan White stewed. He came back and shot the both of them. And thus, Mrs. Feinstein's career was launched...
