The ACORN vote in the House is stunning news. Just 48 hours after Republican Leader John Boehner introduced the "Defund ACORN Act," the bill -- which most Republicans thought Democrats would do anything to block -- passed by a resounding 345-75 vote. It would never have made it to a vote had not the Democratic leadership decided to allow it, and the winning total included 172 Democrats. Yes, 172 House Democrats voted to totally cut off funding for an organization that has worked for years on behalf of Democrats nationwide.
Couple that with the 83-7 Senate vote to cut off housing funds to ACORN -- a number that included 50 Democrats -- and the votes signal the complete collapse of Democratic support for ACORN. The job is not anywhere near finished -- the Senate still has to consider a total-cutoff bill, introduced just today by Sen. Mike Johanns, and a conference committee has to come up with a final bill that President Obama signs. At any step of the way, Democrats might decide to resume defending ACORN or give it federal support by other means. But as of today there are on-the-record votes of large majorities of House and Senate Democrats in favor of cutting off funds for ACORN.
Although Republicans had long fought against ACORN, it is not an exaggeration to say that none of this would have happened now without the BigGovernment undercover videos. Democrats who in the past had reflexively supported ACORN ran for cover after seeing ACORN employees encouraging tax evasion and prostitution. The BigGovernment videos mark an important moment in the development of alternative media sources, and official Washington responded before most of the establishment press did. This is truly an extraordinary series of events.

This is a nice start, but ACORN/COI is a hydra. I’m thinking they did this so quickly thinking that’ll shut us up for now.

It sure isn't. In addition to getting a final bill through Congress, ACORN is like a many-headed hydra. Cut off one but it still lives on.

That is why the dems voted to stop funding. They want this OVER and are hoping this will do it. They know how dirty ACORN is and they do not want all the truth to come out.
Now they need to tie together the voter fraud, those black panters at the polls and then tie in Obama and his quid pro quo with ACORN.

This as big as Rathergate. However, this must be followed up with sustained attention to the fraudulent "old media."
One of the undercover participants is Pastor Doug Giles’ daughter. I don’t think anyone in their right mind will try to harass his daughter. The man is very protective of things, and I would guess his daughter is at the top of the list.
The reason why the democrats want ACORN shutdown is hide all their involvement in the in organizaton.

Obama called for a large civilian national security force, larger than our US army.
THE POLITICAL POWER CENTER OF THAT FORCE TO ACHIEVE THAT COUP D'ETAT UNDER A SHREDDED U.S. CONSTITUTION UNDER "THE MESSIAH" WAS AND IS NONEOTHER TO BE THE SHOCK TROOPS ***ACORN*** AND ***SEIU*** and others.
WE have gone in and begun to crack the testicles of this ACORN Operation and they do not like it one bit--and they are relatively silent as they were on Van Jones because they know we are on to them. It is only a matter of time before they order hits on people standing up to this impending Chavista takeover. We have to keep this up, keep this up, keep this up, tell the Republicans to lead, follow or get out of the way, and if necessary, take that imposter out of the White House on top of his furniture along with the rest of his trash (figuratively speaking).
ACORN--Along with the Tea Parties, Town Halls and D.C. March--REPRESENTED TRULY the opening shots of this long battle. AND THE WHITE HOUSE KNOWS IT.
And THIS is where the rubber meets the road. Keep it up, this has to do with the very continuation of our Republic as we know it.

Not hardly. These folks will never accept that. ACORN will probably change its name (if it hasn’t already done so) & revive itself as a different organization. It will get right back to the “people’s struggle”, like the communist guerrillas that they are or Islamic terrorists that are waiting in the wings for the right moment to explode their suicide bomb.
Is there anyone beside me that thinks this criminal enterprise is still alive and well? I bet the RATS had a meeting where someone said hey, we are in free fall in the polls so I have an idea. Lets make the sheeple believe we RATS have defunded ACORN. YA, THAT should win ‘em back. It’ll just be a make believe defunding but I bet we can get the stupid voters to actually believe us.
It ain’t over is right! always watch whats going on behind the curtain. I’m sure there are shadow groups under ACORN that money will flow thru. This is a good start but we need to look closer and watch. These criminals are good and thier being helped and coached by the head criminal!

Two things to Keep in mind. 1) As Michele Bachmann noted in a conference call this evening ACORN has not been defunded until both the House and Senate match up their bills and BO signs the final version. 2)The Defund ACORN Act was attached to a bill that provides for government control of student loans. Another free enterprise system will be toast if this portion of the House bill is allowed to survive when matched up with the Senate Version.
Cut off one head of the hydra, and there are still several more.

There is some really bad news coming about ACORN that we haven't heard about, Glen Beck hasn't heard about and that doesn't have anything to do with our newly found favorite investigative-video-journalists and hidden cameras. Could be that Obama couldn't stop some Bush FBI investigation that has been ongoing for some time. Could be some state Attorney General really has the goods on these guys at the highest levels of ACORN. Could be a big Chicago connection. Who knows? The answer to that question is easy: Obama, Reid and Pelosi. That's all it would take to explain what we are seeing.
That John Boehner wrote it is encouraging. Of course, you realize that 1,000 other partially taxpayer-funded organizations are redirecting their funds to rescue ACORN.
The overweight ACORN folks don’t look very intimidating, but they certainly have nothing but time on their hands and will be around forever. Parasites like this usually thrive when the host does, but terrible things happen to them when the host has problems...
