So now I bet we’ll see a “Cash for Clunkers” program to get people to trade in their Plasma TVs.

We have plenty of energy. The eco-fascists and warmists won’t allow us to access it. The world is laughing at us.

So just buy it on Amazon. No tax, and no “electronic waste recycling fee (tax)” either...

I think they should limit the size of houses and the number of tv sets you can have. Also reduce the size of refrigerators and ban the sale of dryers. The sun always shines here..hang out your laundry.

Follow the $$$.
Hybrid batteries and cheap LCD tv's are both made in South Korea.
My Pioneer plasma HDTV has a much better picture than Samsung however they now rule the market.

The Energy Commission's move is just the latest step in a long push for energy efficiency in California. Since 1975, the Golden State has led the nation in adopting tough energy standards for household appliances, homes and buildings. As a result, California's per-capita electricity consumption has remained flat for nearly three decades, while the rest of the country's power demand has grown 50%.The article does not mention CA pays some of the highest electricity prices in the nation and any sort of energy intensive manufacturing no longer exists in the state.

Great. Now I’m going to have to drive to Las Vegas and pay cash for my next big TeeeeeVeeeee. That will work until Obama gets his webcam based Big Brother is Watching You program into full swing.

Pretty soon they will be watching TV by candlelight just like people did in the 1930’s to watch FDR do his Fireside Chats.

Why not shut down movie theaters with their costly, energy-sucking projectors, and global warming-inducing popcorn machines.
