That is fair. But my opinion is only presumptuous so far as the implication that I really know someone’s eternal destiny. It is not presumptuous if the implication is that my opinion has any impact on someone’s eternal destiny. That is just crazy talk.
If there is a hell, there is a God who created it. He will not be asking my opinion about who goes there. Even if I am His best bud, he will not be asking me.
It does strike me somewhat ironic that often atheists or agnostics get the most nervous about speculation over whether a dead person is going to hell or not. Like any human’s opinion matters in the least. Do they think that just in case there is a hell, admittance will be based on popularity?
