They’ve never heard of keeping the criminally insane locked up?
Wa ping
What’s strange about this to me is that he had a demonstrated history of trying to escape. Wouldn’t that mean he no longer gets field trips?
Or, if we insist on being “humane” for prisoners like him, why not put a locator cuff on him whenever he’s taken out of a secure environment?
I guess they thought that would be degrading to him. LOL. Now the state can spend thousands of dollars trying to find him. Let’s hope he doesn’t hurt anyone before they do.
Say WA? Evergreen State ping

FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this ping list.
Ping sionnsar if you see a Washington state related thread.
The more you hear of this one, the worse it gets. DSHS did a news conference here yesterday. The spokeswoman kept reinforcing how important the safety of THE PATIENTS is. She said she keeps focusing on two words: “partnership” and “community”. Yeah, right, like informing the community when you’re taking 31 insane criminals to the fair?
It also came out that they “lost” a second inmate, a woman. *And* they are supposed to inform the State Patrol when they take these field trips and failed to do so this time.
Good grief.
“Why would they load him on a bus and take him to a fair?”
Because this is the Peoples Republik of Washington and “We Coddle Criminals.”
"DSHS says it will also consider possible permanent changes to hospital policy, which could include a permanent suspension on public trips. However, Dreyfus points out that a number of mentally ill patients respond well to treatment and should not be denied the opportunity to assimilate into society."
