It was one of the most popular topics among the questions you submitted to me for my interview with President Obama – the controversy involving ACORN.
While the President said that ACORN "deserves to be investigated" in light of the "inappropriate" video that's gone viral, he did not endorse recent votes in Congress to cut off federal funding for the community group.
Here’s our FULL exchange:
STEPHANOPOULOS: How about the funding for ACORN?
OBAMA: You know, if -- frankly, it's not really something I've followed closely. I didn't even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money.
STEPHANOPOULOS: Both the Senate and the House have voted to cut it off.
OBAMA: You know, what I know is, is that what I saw on that video was certainly inappropriate and deserves to be investigated.
STEPHANOPOULOS: So you're not committing to -- to cut off the federal funding?
OBAMA: George, this is not the biggest issue facing the country. It's not something I'm paying a lot of attention to.

He’s not even a good liar.
I suppose that compared to bank bailouts, GM/Chrysler bailouts, stimulus porkfests, Fed balance sheet expansions, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, medical industry takeover, cap-tax-’n’-trade, ACORN doesn’t get much money.
When you’re accustomed to squandering taxpayer monies in the trillions, the billions don’t seem like so much. (I know, it was “only” tens of millions for ACORN in the past but the stimulus porkfest included potential billions.)
I posted this when I heard it this morning...he’s either a liar or a really bad lawyer...he DEFENDED these peopel for God’s sake. He doesn’t know how they’re funded. GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK. Lying comes to easily and naturally to him.

Investors Business Daily (10/8/08) reported that ACORN actually endorsed Obama. Further, Obama paid ACORN $800,000 to register new voters (FEC disclosure shows “Citizen Services, Inc.”) and was executive director of ACORN’s Project Vote in 1992. Michelle Obama’s old law firm is representing ACORN in a $1 million embezzlement cover-up. We must demand and expect a challenge to the results of the Nov. 2008 election because of the alleged fraud in Ohio, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Colorado and Illinois. Will the Democrats do anything to win? Does the bear sleep in the woods?
He's like a boxer whose game plan is to wear the opponent down with body blow after body blow. He knows the body blows will never knock his opponent out, but he also knows that enough of them, landing in the right place, will make it much easier to deliver the knock out punch to the head later.
Not a day goes by without another body blow being delivered.
I am quite buoyed by the DC march on Sept. 12th, but I think we are going to have to keep up the pressure, and in fact increase the pressure, or we are going to give him enough time to undermine our efforts.
And no one, other than Joe Wilson, will even dare to call him out.

My understanding, and I’m the first to confess I am not a student of the religion, is that it’s not only OK, it’s required. Aren’t these the people whose holy writings tell them to negotiate peace with someone then use the peace to take them by surprise and slaughter them.
Based on the fruit I have seen from them they are a people and a religion absolutely without respect for honesty.
I honestly wish a group of them would stand up and take on those who they claim have hijacked their religion of peace and turned it into what it is. I can understand how some Muslims might be afraid to take a stand, but gosh it seems like at least a few of them would speak out against the others. I know a few have, but when you consider the world’s Muslim number in the billions I would expect a few hundred thousand to take exception.
I know this. If a person claiming to be a Christian did any of the things these Muslims do in the name of their religion the outcry from millions of Christians and their pulpits would be very loud and long.
He was ACORN’s lawyer as I recall so he is not being truthful.
He’s not a particularly good liar, but he is a relentless one.
