Pregame Report: The NEA Conference Call (Breitbart's Blockbuster to Break Tomorrow at Noon)
Big Hollywood ^ | 9-20-09 | Mike Flynn and John Nolte

Posted on 09/20/2009 8:07:11 PM PDT by nomoremods

This is it; the story we were speculating about today. Well, this is the "pre-story" and the rest breaks tomorrow at noon (don't know EST or PST)

But, there is even a larger issue that hasn’t yet received much attention in the press. Among the Obama Administration officials on the call were Buffy Wicks, Office of Public Engagement and the lead White House official on the President’s Serve.Gov initiative to promote national service. Also on the call was Nell Abernathy, Director of Outreach for Serve.Gov. One of their mail goals on the call, it seems, was to encourage artists to produce works that would reinforce the President’s call for service; specifically through the Serve.Gov web-portal.

As Dana Loesch recently reported at Big Government, the Serve.Gov portal funnels citizens to volunteer or service projects connected with ACORN and other leftist groups. The taxpayer-funded website is evolving into a cyber-recruitment tool for the progressive movement.

So what did happen on that call? Was the NEA coordinating with the White House to push their agenda on a group of artists eager for and reliant upon the NEA for grants, or is the NEA telling the truth that this call “was not a means to promote any legislative agenda”?

Tomorrow at noon ET, explosive new information will answer that question and raise many others.

Yeah, I had hoped it would be something much more jaw-dropping, because the public is not going to outraged over this; I just don’t see it happening.

It’s a great story and something that people who pay close attention will follow, but the general public won’t raise an eyebrow - unless there is more to this that will grab the public by the throat - like murder or sex.

I’m calling bullshit.

If these people have some sort of evidence of wrongdoing, they need to stop treating it like it’s an episode of 24, and start being a lot more serious about how this information is released.

While I understand the intent, I don’t like being spoon-fed information about anything by anyone, and all of this hidden camera business is starting to develop a fishy odor of it’s very own vintage.

These people need to start treading very carefully.

Well it is pretty clear that they have a recording of the call. That they, Big Hollywood, let all the fools that organized the call hang themselves publicly by making false claims about what they said during the call. And now after giving them enough time they are going to make the actual contents of the call public directly contradicting their claims.

Same story. But...

Big Hollywood apparently has recordings of the call.

Big Hollywood let the NEA hang themselves by giving the NEA time to defend themselves with lies not knowing the call was recorded.

So now Big Hollywood is going to release the call to the public and it is going to prove the NEA lied through their teeth.

At least that’s my guess...

Oh contraire...

By letting only part of the story out it let the NEA hang itself in public. The NEA in defending itself made numerous claims about the call that were apparently lies. Claims they would have never made if they had known the call was actually recorded.

So Big Hollywood simply gave them a little rope and they took it... And now Big Hollywood is going to hang them with it.

It would be just amazing if this patently illegal conference call not only originated from the White House but also included the Narcissist in Chief speaking live on the call.

I guarantee you friends—based on what I’ve read at Ace of Spades and Patterico tonight—this is NOT the recording of the NEA conference call. This is video, and James and Hannah are involved. Oh yeah, this is gonna be good.

I do hope you are right...sounds like you are confident. The NEA thing could be a could secondary hit, but it is not the knock out punch I would hope for. The public just has no concern for NEA stuff.

The Valerie Plame affair was nothing but nailed Scooty Libby.

How? Liberals were not negative about it. they acted from the start as if it were a huge story filled with lies and illegality.

If Bush had used the NEA as Obama apparently has done, the left would have been calling for impeachment.

Conservatives lose by being negative, by predicting failure when they have no idea what the future will bring.

“President’s Serve.Gov initiative”

Cany anyone point to anything Obama has done which does not fall under the category of the people serving government?

why noon? Everyone’s at work...

Including the media...so that it can be highlighted at 5:00 by Beck, 8:00 by O'Reilly, etc.
