Washington, 21 September (WashingtonTV)US President Barack Obama on Saturday extended greetings to Muslims worldwide celebrating Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
The start of the three-day holiday varies in Muslim countries, depending on the sighting of the new crescent moon.
In a statement, Obama said he and his wife, Michelle, congratulate Muslims in the United States and around the world on the blessed day.
Obama said that even on this festive occasion, which breaks the month-long fast of Ramadan, Muslims remember those less fortunate, including those suffering from poverty, hunger, conflict and disease.
In a separate statement, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the occasion is a reminder of the values of Islam charity, community, cooperation, [and] compassion which she said are values Americans hold dear.
So as Ramadan draws to a close, let us hold on to that spirit of community throughout the year to achieve our common goals of peace, prosperity and stability, she added.

Hussien knows exactly what he is doing. He IS NOT delusional.
Obama is going out of his way to kiss Islam’s @ss. This will come back to haunt him after we are attacked again.
I’m sure that Obummer and Hitlery will extend their congratulations to Christians at Easter.
We celebrate it as one day closer to the complete elimination of Islam from the Earth.
When will 0 come right out and thank them for 9/11?
He's hoping it will happen on someone else's watch, if he can't do a Chavez and become President for Life.
Has Obama uttered the words L’Shana Tovah this weekend?
Which Muslim countries extend Merry Christmas and Happy Easter to the USA?
Does he really believe that showing weakness and being subserviant is a good strategy? I think he is going to learn this lesson the hard way.
I can hardly wait for his Christmas greetings!
“blessed day” and all that...
Man I bet Christmas will practically be a call to chruch and stuff like that.
/sarc.
I dispise islam.
At a store I frequent, they hired a young woman who wears a muslim head dress.
I’d like to tell the store management why I won’t be back, but that’s not politically correct. But I won’t be back.
Hmmm. I don’t remember any message to the Jews for Rosh Hashanah (Sept 18th).
On September 25th, visitors and residents of Washington will hear Allahu Akbar just like the 9/11 muslim hijackers screamed before killing over 3,000 people.
Notice at the bottom of the webpage.... sound familiar? It's Obama's slogan... Our Time Has Come.
The barbarians are beyond the gates...
"Like shooting down Israeli jets on their way to Iran..."

“values of Islam” is under arrest in Denver and NYC...
In fact, the start of every month in the Muslim year is that day when you can first see the sun-lit cresent after New Moon after sunset. Astronomically this occurs when the new moon is about 11 or 12 hours old. It's also determined locally by having the local authorities actually stand outside and look to see if they can see it. Now, given that Islamic countries are scattered around the globe, that leads to it being different days in different countries. In Saudi Arabia, then, the moon might be only 8 hours old at sunset and could not be seen. But in Indonesia, the moon would be 13 hours old and be visible. So the month (or appropriate holiday) would start that day in Indonesia, but have to wait until the next day in Saudi Arabia.
Then there's the issue of clouds .... Apparently they've decided that you can go ahead and start the month if it's cloudy but if astronomical calculations show that the moon would indisputably be visible at that time if there were no clouds.

Yeh, I was trying to find a news story on this Muslim March on Washington and all I could find was the article I posted.
Why isn’t anyone reporting this march? This is scary and I only pray (as my pastor did yesterday) that thousands more Christians come out, in protest to this Muslim March.
