A New York judge on Monday rejected CBS Corp's bid to dismiss former TV news anchor Dan Rather's $70 million lawsuit claiming he was fired over a controversial election-year report on former President George W. Bush's Vietnam War-era military service.

New York State Supreme Court Justice Ira Gammerman set a December 22 hearing in the case and directed that testimony be taken from witnesses, including Sumner Redstone, the chairman of Viacom Inc, which controlled CBS at the time.

"Let's get this case moving," Gammerman said. "I would really like to get this case ready for trial."

Rather, 77, sued CBS, its Chief Executive Leslie Moonves and former CBS News President Andrew Heyward for fraud over his firing from the network, his home for more than four decades, over the report on Bush's military record.

CBS has acknowledged it could not authenticate documents used in the September 8, 2004 report, which aired two months before Bush won a second term in the White House, defeating Democrat John Kerry.

Nothing better than a couple of liberals fighting each other.

Oh, goody. With all the other bad news surrounding The Dear Leader, lets bring old Dan Rather back. Looks like Onada picked up at least two more negatives today. This one and getting caught red handed trying to get NEA to do artwork for him. Added to the 8 or 9 other negatives already out there, The Marxist Onada will be playing defense for the foreseeable future. Oh, and what was that he said on one of the Sunday talk shows? Something like he had not been paying attention to the ACORN story. It was too trivial for The Dear Leader to deign an interest in. LIE. Man, if this guy was Pinocchio his nose would be resing on the Lincoln memorial while the rest of his body resided in the WH.

Now that’s change you can count on.

A liberal can be involved in any kind of deceit, pull any kind of scam, and no one can call them on it. I defy a state media propagandist to fabricate a scandal about 0, or even act like a journalist, and dig into one of 0’s many real scandals. His or her lawsuit wouldn’t make it to first base.
