WRONG. Forget your preconceived notions of a third party and think NEW or DIFFERENT party. If conservatives left the RINO republican party, THERE WOULD BE NO REPUBLICAN PARTY. They would have to associate with our new party or be irrelevant for eternity. We would set the rules and agenda and pick candidates. We could attract moderates (fed up with same old, same old parties) conservative democrats, even conservative Blacks. Build a new coalition of less govt, lower taxes, pro-growth, conservative values, 2nd & 10th amendment patriotic Americans. Make people choose...or better said, GIVE PEOPLE A CHOICE. Liberals will stay with the dems, who cares, good. The rest will have to choose.

What party would Palin, Bachman, Blackburn, Demint choose?
What party would McCain, Lindsay Grahm, Snowe, & Collins choose? (WHO CARES)
While our new party grows, we could form a cooalition government with the RINOs (in other-words USE them) to wield power.
You have to start somewhere, sometime. If you keep doing the same thing over & over again expecting different results you are by definition, CRAZY. Otherwise, we'll get another RINO that we'll HAVE to support because they are the lesser of two evils. Been there done that. Let's not do it again. ENOUGH ALREADY. Let's get started down a NEW path. Even if it means temporary defeat. (Which I don't believe it would) It sounds like VICTORY & FREEDOM to me.
The way the election system is set up, this would guarantee Dem victories for the foreseeable future. We don't need to have a new party, we need to gain control of the existing Republican party.
First step, rather than a third party, there needs to be one or more organizations, independent of the RNC, which can identify, nurture, and finance conservative candidates in the primaries. We would donate time and money to these organizations rather than the RNC.
Once the RINOs are driven out, by losing in the primaries, THEN conservatives will have a chance to take control of the RNC.
