Although I admit he is one of the few Dems with the fortitude to stand up for the Constitution against Obama, and there would be a loss in that area. I've found myself with a strange affection for Byrd ever since I realized that. I also think that he's the ONLY Democrat with the gravitas to be their Howard Baker to Obama's Nixon.
