Russian President Dmitry Medvedev pulls new world currency from his pocket

Russia's President, Dmitry Medvedev, pulled the world's new currency from his pocket at the meeting of G8 leaders in the Italian city of Aquila.

4:38PM BST 10 Jul 2009

The future of the dollar was one of several subjects debated at the G8 summit

Mr Medvedev, who has been seeking ways to displace the dollar as the world's dominant reserve currency, produced a sample coin of what he described as a 'united future world currency'.

“Here it is,” Mr Medvedev said, according to Bloomberg. “You can see it and touch it.” The coin, which was minted in Belgium, was presented to all the G8 leaders attending the summit and bears the words 'unity in diversity.'

The possibility of a supranational currency “concerns everyone now, even the mints,” Mr Medvedev said. The test coin “means they’re getting ready. I think it’s a good sign that we understand how interdependent we are.” Russia, alongside China and India, have all questioned the dollar's future as a global reserve currency - a status it has enjoyed since inheriting it from sterling last century.

we could very well end up handing over the contents of fort knox to our creditor nations

Do you really think there's anything left in there now?

It has been many years since there was any kind of independant audit of 'our' gold.

No problem. It’s a different source, so technically, not a double posting.

In addition to FR’s search, if you use Google, try adding your search word(s) or phrases followed exactly by
site:www.freerepublic.com

That limits you search only to FR.

I don’t think it would be possible to empty the vaults in secret. I absolutely unequivocally believe that the Fort Knox depository contains about 147 million ounces of gold. If we adopt a gold backed currency, that will change as will many other things.

Don’t shoot the Russian messenger. I think the Russians being outsiders in the G8 felt like spreading mischief and the President held a news conference. The G7 leaders were mum on the subject so technically we owe the Russians for spilling the beans even if by accident.

I don't think this is currency like that. This would be currency between nations. In other words the value of money would be pegged to this currency. 1 dollar would be worth .75 world currency dollars for example.

If I am understanding the workings of this that is.

Doesn’t our constitution trump this?

You'd think! But for many (e.g. the uber elite who run the Democratic and Republican parties, CFR, Bildeberg Group, Trilateral Commission) the new religion of Globalism, Political Correctness, and the NWO trumps all.

Thanks for the link to the doc.

CBS did not report that the POTUS is already in posession of this new global currency

http://www.futureworldcurrency.com/Documents.asp?DocumentAreaID=44&DocumentID=209

nor how 0bama plans to implement it into introduction to our nation.

http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/09/09/taking_liberties/entry5298305.shtml

So unless someone else can explain differently. I am left with nothing but these facts and common sense to think that 0bama is purposefully allowing certain things to happen i e... (doing nothing but spend money while our economy tanks)and implementing complete government take-over of everything (complete with a new national ID card in the 0bamaCare bill) so we will have no other choice but for his CHANGE.

People don't understand that the USA has no more money power. By that I mean our dollar is done. It is not really Obama's fault since this happened under Bush but Obama is going along with the decision of switching out the dollar rather than fight it.

I am glad I kept my link in my data base so I can re-post it here.

If I did not post it people would think I just made it up.

It does seem like a roll out. I remembered the earlier news item and kept the link. Then I saw stories and wanted to bring it up and I am glad I did.

It is a bi-partisan fault thing. Talk about replacing the dollar predates Obama so fair is fair. At the time I recall they reason was the massive deficit and then the Wall Street melt down that happened. Obama seems to not be resisting and or making the problem so bad that even if he resisted with the debt he is taking on no one would back him up.

I don't need to defend Bush or Obama - Dems and Repubs in power equally took us over the edge to the point they are dangling a world currency before us and we are powerless to say no.

That is how I see it in any case.

” The test coin “means they’re getting ready. I think it’s a good sign that we understand how interdependent we are.”

Ok ladies, just who is “they?” And “they are getting ready” for what exactly?

And just what gives them the right/authority to issue money through a reserve system for all countries? Their say so?

“They” might be a bit disapointed.

Unless it is gold or silver, which would make it kind of like reinventing the wheel, one would have to convince folks to accept it. Around here, it some joker is trying to pull a fast one with folks money, things get ugly REAL fast...

(1)As for who "They" are i would vote for Soros. There would need to be a couple of big countries, with solid economies, in on the deal. They trade their nations solid currency in exchange for power over most of the world's economy.

China and India could pull that off, but I don't know if they would want to. But for sake of argument lets say they could. The establish an exchange rate between the NWC and the Yuan. Then they say that they will buy US debt, but due to the fiscal irresponsibility of our government all loans must be denominate in NWC instead of dollars. We did this to South American countries all the time. All the loans were payable in US dollars so that they couldn't inflate away their debts. So the US government has to start doing business in NWC.

(2) How would you get average people to accept it? Well if your choice was between using the Euro or the Zimbabwe Dollar which would you choose? There was a post earlier today talking about 20% inflation. Now when that happens you will rapidly find stores willing to accept a new currency so long as it doesn't drop in value between when they take it and put it in the bank that evening.

(3) Now the US Government is in hock to China and it desperately needs NWC to pay back the loans. Since business started using NWC in section 2 they have reserves of NWC in the bank. So the government starts to collect taxes in NWC so that they can pay their loans. (4) US currency becomes the equivalent of the food stamp. Only certain stores will accept it, and then only for limited, government controlled items. This is how it works in most third world countries where the local currency is used only for incidentals, and all real business is done in Dollars or Euros.

Granted its hurting, but, it will be asswipe once obamanation injects those trillions of debt. Surest and quickest way to communism is through debasing the monetary system.
