The Iranians revealed the existence of this ‘new’ plant because they discovered that foreign intelligence agents had it under surveillance. Later today Obama is scheduled to speak about it. We’ve apparently known about it for years.

This throws the whole timetable of when Iran could have enough material to built a weapon out the window. If we've known about this site for years then the chances are that some form of enrichment has already been going on there even if its not fully operational yet...

If Israel wasn't previously aware of this site, this news could have a dramatic impact on their timeline for taking pre-emptive action.

Iranian Website: Enhanced IAEA Supervision – Proof of Iran’s Flexibility

The Iranian website Tabnak stated that, by allowing the IAEA to install more cameras in its nuclear facility in Natanz, and by allowing IAEA inspectors to visit the heavy water plant in Arak, Iran had demonstrated its desire to break the deadlock in the nuclear talks, scheduled to reopen in November. The site stated further that Iran was operating 10,000 centrifuges and testing 2,000 more.

From CNN Bureau Chief Kevin Flower’s Twitter :

#Israel Foreign Ministry said they have no comment at this time on the revelation of the 2nd Iranian enrichment facility..

@DukeStJournal I believe Ahmadinejad will be holding a 1700 presser in NY today

IAEA : “#Iran assured the Agency in the letter that ‘Further complementary information will be provided in an appropriate and due time.’”

Source: Iran acknowledges second nuclear facility Posted: 05:42 AM ET

(CNN) — Iran has admitted the existence of a second uranium enrichment plant in a letter sent to the International Atomic Energy Agency, a U.S. diplomatic source told CNN.

The letter mentioned the facility, located on a military base near the holy city of Qom, the source said. It is thought capable of housing 3,000 centrifuges, not enough to produce nuclear fuel to power a reactor, but sufficient to manufacture bomb-making material, she said.

U.S. and French intelligence officials have known about the facility for several months, the source said. When Iran discovered that Western nations had knowledge of the facility, it sent the letter to the IAEA.

...................................................................

Just wow. This is a nightmare for Iran. For years they have been denying that there was never a link betweeen their miliary and their 'civilian nuclear power' infastructure. And now we learn that this new enrichment plant is within a military base and is just the right size to manufacture bomb-making material?

I’m sure the UN human rights council will officially condemn Isreal for this.

If we retreat in Afghanistan the crap will hit the fan. Everything The Messiah has said and done so far has only emboldened the Al Queda terrorist murderers to be more aggressive.

There is no doubt in my retired military mind that that is precisely what Onada wants.

Notice that when it was the messiah’s turn to speak as the head honcho at the UN council on nuclear proliferation he made it a point to say he was NOT criticizing Iran.

What a disgrace.

Iranian plant ‘serious violation’ of UN resolutions: Paris

AFPSeptember 25, 2009 7:45 AM

PARIS - France accused Iran Friday of committing a “serious violation” of UN resolutions after the UN nuclear watchdog IAEA said Tehran had admitted to building a second uranium enrichment plant.

“We are seeing a new serious violation of UN Security Council and IAEA resolutions. This strengthens our suspicions,” said French foreign ministry spokeswoman Christine Fages.

That’s a nice ping.

Glenn Beck told Bill O that Israel will be taking care of this problem soon.

I've been wondering why the lunatic, heck for leather rush to pass Obamacare.

At first I figgered it was just about the 'Rats worrying that familiarity was breeding contempt.

Now I'm wondering, especially in light of the recent terrorism arrests, if Barry knows that something's coming down the pike that'll blow all interest in healthcare reform outta the water for the foreseeable future.....

If true, care to share, Barry...?
