Where's Palin? Big bucks for speech in Hong Kong
Yahoo Finance ^ | 26 September 2009 | Matthew Daly, Associated Press Writer

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin emerged from a two-month absence from public view with a private talk, heavy on foreign policy, to a group of investors in Hong Kong. Palin was paid an undisclosed amount, said to be in the low six figures, for the 90-minute speech. She has said one of the reasons she resigned was to pay legal bills that have topped $500,000. The speech was closed to reporters, but Palin later posted lengthy excerpts on her Facebook page.

"This speech had very little to do with advancing her political career and more to do with advancing her financial career," said former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer.

But mostly Palin operates from behind a veil. Her spokeswoman won't even say what state she's in. The Washington Post reported that Palin spent a month in California working on her book but has since left. Spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton declined to comment.

Quote - Before she quit with more than a year left in her first term as governor, Palin promised to keep her fans updated on the social networking site Twitter, but so far there have been no messages. Palin updates her Facebook page -- which has about 900,000 followers -- once or twice a week, with items that alternately criticize President Barack Obama's health care policy or offer praise for Constitution Day or the Jewish high holidays. - End Quote

I like everything I read here. It must have been a great speech, and the phrase “Common Sense Conservative” is a keeper, I think.

If I were her, I’d hire a good PR agent to keep the media and other nosy nellies a good distance away until the time is right.

Whenever someone mentions Sarah Palin I find myself wondering, “It is 2012 yet?”

"This speech had very little to do with advancing her political career and more to do with advancing her financial career," said former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer.

That doesn't sound like Fleischer, but who knows? Maybe he is part of the inside-the-beltway, establishment, RNC, RINO'S?

NOTICE, how the delusional, far left, corrupt, State-Run, media (especially the Appropriated Press) goes out of their way to get a so-called, Republican to criticize Palin?

That they are so consumed with her every word, deed, action, etc. all the while, denigrating, impugning, demonizing and trying to minimize her, is evidence that they are all SCARED AS HELL, but afraid to admit it!!!

Ha, Ha! The MSM is mad. Go Sarah go. I think she was a bit naive when chosen as McCain's running mate but no one expected how nasty the press could have been. She has proven to be a fast learner and a true leader.

And how much does liberal politico’s receive for their speeches?

Seems I recall BJ Clinton pulling quite a bit for his and no one batted an eyelid.

I’d pay to hear her speak too.

For crying out loud, Palin made money with her speech? The DBM had a hissy fit with Reagan doing the same in Japan when he left office.

But Bubbha becoming a multi-millionaire with his speech fees? That’s fine. He’l cool and deserves to make a living.

Total double standard is so old it is laughable!

Twitter is a useless vanity for celebrities. It has a limited number of characters you can use when posting a thought. Which may be fine for libtards and celebtards, with little to say, but hardly a good place to stay in touch with any quality.

Past speakers, at the Hong Kong investment firm that Palin spoke at, included Al Gore, Alan Greenspan, and Bill Clinton. The Left is infuriated that Palin is receiving 1st tier speaking invitations. The Left regards Palin as tantamount to Paris Hilton and considers her to be unworthy of these seapking invitations.

For the next couple of years, Palin should do a national tour of speaking engagements and see how she’s received before deciding on whether to run for public office again.

Mrs Palin will resume on Twitter when and if she chooses. Are you, underthestreetlite, wanting to imply something? If so, out with it.

"This speech had very little to do with advancing her political career and more to do with advancing her financial career," said former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer.

Does Fleischer do speaking engagements for no pay? No, he does not. Sounds like he's a tad envious of Mrs Palin. And he needs to cease with analyzing Mrs Palin's motives - for they are truly honorable and I'd add, none of his business.
