President Obama delivers his remarks at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Phoenix Awards dinner.
WASHINGTON -- President Obama on Saturday resumed his push to overhaul the health care system, telling a Congressional Black Caucus conference that there comes a time when "the cup of endurance runs over."
"We have been waiting for health reform since the days of Teddy Roosevelt. We've been waiting since the days of Harry Truman," he said in remarks at the caucus foundation's annual dinner. "We've been waiting since Johnson and Nixon and Clinton."
"We cannot wait any longer," Obama said.
Obama spent the past week largely focused on global and economic issues in meetings with world leaders in New York and Pittsburgh.
At the G-20 economic summit that wrapped up Friday in Pennsylvania, Obama told a story about an unnamed foreign leader who privately told the president he didn't understand the at-times contentious debate over changing the health care system.
"He says, 'We don't understand it. You're trying to make sure everybody has health care and they're putting a Hitler mustache on you. That doesn't make sense to me,"' Obama said, quoting the world leader he declined to identify.

The double standards are just amazing. I saw alittle of his interruption to Glen Beck and he made comments about not wanting to be on the “right” ha ha ha I am not laughing.

What doesn't make sense is this “trying to give healthcare to everyone”. Everyone already has access to healthcare if they need it whether they're rich, poor, insurance or no insurance.

I was watching Glen Beck when this speech intruded. I kept watching just out of curiosity....and heard that comment.

Right.
That’s why you have roots so deep into communism (Frank Marshall Davis and Velerie Jarrett’s parents) and into the criminal activities (of the likes of Acorn) and into favoring Jihadists....that most Americans with any sense see you for the fraud and liar that you are, Zero.

I was waiting for hubby to come out of the DMV last week and the LaRouche circus [with their Adolph Obama signs] was set up on the DMV sidewalk.

And what you're trying to do Obama, is complete a government takeover of health care. You want to nationalize or socialize health care. You want government control over the American People. That's why they put a Hitler mustache on you. And you fully understand that, you lying sack of (fill in the blank).
I don't know, if smearing and insulting the American People is a good electoral strategy. In any case, Obama's going to find out and it's going to start in Virginia and New Jersey.
Just to get my prediction out there again, by the Spring, it'll be the Democrats asking Obama to produce his birth certificate. They're going to be looking for a way to get rid of him before November '10.
