Throughout last years presidential campaign, Barack Obama lambasted the Bush administration for fighting the wrong war in Iraq and ignoring the right one in Afghanistan. Iraq was a war of choice, Obama claimed, while Afghanistan was a war of necessity.
Repeatedly, he claimed that, if elected president, hed unveil a new stronger, smarter and comprehensive strategy.
In March, in one of those solemn-looking occasions in which he excels, Obama said that the new strategy, which he did not elaborate, was already in place. He speeded up the troop buildup ordered by the Bush administration, and a few weeks later named a new commander for Afghanistan.

Is this not the standard liberal response to every issue, whether it's health care, gun control, taxes, crime, war, trash collection, recycling, potholes, election reform, etc., etc., etc.?
This will be quite difficult, given that that he clearly DOESN'T know what he's talking about. Obama has punted all of the tough questions throughout his career. He still can't even decide whether he wants a "public option" on his signature issue, health care. He CAN'T make decisions. He has this "gift", you know. The "gift" is being able to talk out of both sides of his mouth without the media mentioning it. This "gift" precludes hard decisions.
