Let me guess: “We are going to create 5 million new jobs by murdering 100 million unborn babies, so we can harvest their parts for science! Stem cell research will put our economy back on track!”

Why else would he be announcing about the “recovery” at the Health center?

I was thinking the same thing - stem cells. It's also telling, IMO, that he'll be "visiting a laboratory". I've looked, very superficially, and I can't find much Obama has said on the subject since he lifted the ban on federal funding back in June of this year. So, perhaps he thinks now the time is right, for whatever reason.

Here's something else from an ABC story back in June, that may be relevant...

"The NIH said in a briefing today that they are currently looking for ways to streamline the research process and determine how quickly grant money can be made available. While most grant processes can take as long as nine months, which would delay funds reaching researchers for up to a full year, the NIH has indicated it will try to expedite the grant process to get money from the stimulus out quickly.

"Encompassed in [the executive order] will also be the requirements around guidelines that will be drafted by the NIH [National Institutes of Health] as they ... work with others around the country to make sure we're handling the issue responsibly," said Melody Barnes, the director of the president's Domestic Policy Council.

All signs point to stem cell research, and probably additional funding for such research that be funneled through the Recovery & Investment Act. I wonder how that will sit for any pro-life Republicans that voted for that nonsense.
