Witness Elia Kazan. What was he guilty of? Elia helped blow the whistle on communists. Therefore he is BAAADDDD. He deserves boos. There is no sympathy for Elia.
There was some famous comedian—it might have been Rick Ducommun—who said, “Hmm. Reagan had colon cancer. He had cancer on his nose. It’s because he had his head up his ass!” And, there were DUers who, upon Reagan’s death, said, “I’m sorry he died. I wish he had suffered Alzheimer’s and a return of his colon cancer for a few years.” Your post reminded me of this since some liberal commentator was wishing that Kazan sat in soiled underwear for hours while waiting to die. Nice people.
I’m sure a DUer reading this would say, “What about your Ted Kennedy threads?” They weren’t filled with well-wishes, true, but the few who went over the line saw their comments deleted.

Surprisingly, the NYT today said that putting Polanski in jail was exactly the right thing to do. I guess there are limits on what even liberals will tolerate.
