Rally in Albany Tuesday Over H1N1 Flu Shot Debate
(New York, NY) -- Hundreds of health care workers will rally in Albany Tuesday, angry that they are being made to receive H1N1 flu shots. The State Health Department has made it mandatory that all health care workers get immunized by November 30th. The protestors say their rights are being violated and that they can not be forced to get a H1N1 flu shot. Officials say there will be exceptions for those health care workers who have a personal health issue that would prevent them from getting the shot.
WOR News spoke with Helena Kosorek from the New York Healthcare Concerned Citizens Group. Kosorek and her group will lead a protest that will take place at the State Capitol Building in Albany from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM tomorrow.
Government mandated vaccinations scare the daylights out of me.
The workers should collectively have attorneys draw up a document that the government must sign before administering the ‘immunizations’. Any adverse impact caused by this immunization will result in ‘such and such ramifications and compensation’ to the person immunized. Put those bastards on the other end of this type of stuff. Let’s see how confident they really are in those immunizations.
I thought it was funny, they said the swine flu is now hitting hard all over the country, yet the vaccine now they are still saying is 2 months away, the whole thing will be over by then, anyone that takes the shot is clearly a mind numbed robot ...
I am sick of this whole debate—IT’S THE FLU!!! Good night, we have more people in ONE DAY in the US getting struck by lightening than people who have died year to date from COMPLICATIONS from the flu, not the virus itself! (45 people have died)
Talk about a manufactured crisis! And by the way, what happened to the bird flu that we were all gonna die from?
How would you know if you qualify for a n exemption to taking this shot, which could result in a severe reaction such as Gullian Barr, leaving you paralyzed?
The drug manufacturers are only responsible for making doses but are not going to held accountable for any risks to the person taking the shot or their stockholders.

EXACTLY! I work with someone who almost died from the 1st round of these vaccinations in 1975. These folks need to hire attorneys before they take the shot.

I wonder if these flu shots can cause other problems, i.e., like cancer. So if one ‘survives’ the flu shot they assume they are safe but who knows. Any foreign substance, IMO, is not good for your body.

That is the point of immunizations — they give the body a preview of harmful substances in time to build up a resistance. It is a proven concept. Immunizations have been around over 200 years, starting with immunization for smallpox. They have saved far more people than they have killed.
Yes, I do. Absolutely the right thing to immunize her against. It's safe and highly effective in preventing meningitis caused by a bacteria. Infections with this organism can spread like wildfire among college-age and military recruits and cause significant illness, disability, or death.

We are in need of prayer again. After a wonderful Thursday afternoon and evening with BiPAP discontinued it was recommended that our son have a permanent tracheostomy done so we could better manage his airway. This was done on Friday morning. Post op was good till 4pm when our son developed a rare side effect of trach surgery where there is air leaking from the fresh trach wound into the tissues of the face, neck and upper chest. As a result of this our DS must be sedated and be still for 5 days, till Weds. This is the exact opposite of what you would want to do for someone like our son who is getting over the flu/upper respiratory infection. He is now on the ventilator because of the sedation. Please pray that his lungs are protected from pneumonia as we wait for the trachea wound to seal itself via scar tissue over the next few days. As soon as the trachea is sealed from any other leaking we can begin vigorous chest therapy via “The Vest” which is our norm and suctioning out secretions which has helped keep him infection free for 18 months till H1N1 showed up.
Also we have dealt with a few instances of appalling medical behavior all in one long Weds. evening/night. Besides that the care has been great, but those instances knocked the air out of me. I will be confronting the manager and hospital administrator regarding this tomorrow after having waited for the individuals to apologize and nothing coming forth. Pray that I can be gracious and merciful in these situations.

I got my "regular" flu shot last week - which I have no problem with, it's a dead virus immunization. The H1N1 shot, on the other hand, is a live virus immunization ... no thanks, not even if Fedzilla tells me I have to.
