Veteran Washington Post reporter Daryl Fears, part of a two-person writer team, unmistakably wrote that filmmaker John O'Keefe had said he targeted ACORN, the advocacy group, for his candid-camera expose, because it registered voters to defeat Republicans.
O'Keefe said no such thing. It was a non-quote made out of whole cloth by reporter Fears, and published as fact on Sept. 17. Making the falsehood exponentially worse, the Post story then was retailed worldwide by the Associated Press.

So, they are going to fire Fears, right?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
So we, the members of the press, are just writing what we know they would say.
Oh I wouldn’t worry about it. O’Keefe will do nothing, but complain...(dude, he just libeled this guy...and when conservatives do nothing, the left gets away with it.)
“It would make it a partisan attack, therefore ‘swiftboating’ and obviously false”
Obvious to them. As for the rest of us...well, Kerry lost, didn’t he? Maybe “swiftboating” worked.
General rule of thumb with quotes - unattributed quote or man-on-the-street quotes are always fabricated. Attributed quotes to public persons are likely to be fabricated inversely to that person’s power to contest the quote.
I believe that if the swiftboat vets had not made the truth known, Kerry would’ve been elected President.
Look how easily the media helped Obama win over Hillary. That was the election.
Like I said, the left has their own facts.
Another fake but accurate moment from the worthless pustules in the lamestream media.
I thought Fears claimed O’Keefe said he targeted ACORN because it was registering predominantly minorities to vote.
PEEK-A-BOO!
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Don’t forget Dan Rather.
Gay blacks?
Wow. Talk about a minority.
Blacks don’t like gays too much. Another “prejudice” of the preferred class that liberals don’t like to talk about. Wonder if this dude ever talks about the irony.
Where’s Doctor Raoul and his sign, “Former Washington Post Reporter, will Lie for Food”
