I can bank my sick days.

They have come in handy two different occasions when I needed back surgery, and another time for a gall bladder operation.

Even at that I have saved up 180 sick days in my 28 years as a teacher.

You are right about building up immunities, after the first ten years of teaching I very rarely miss a day of work.

Everything's an actionable crisis nowadays. That means government can do whatever the hell it wants.

It appears there are folks here who think the govt has to send jbt’s over to the house to jab the kids with unwanted vaccine.

That’s not how it’s done.

Most of you are law-abiding types who’d be shaken to the core to find a truant officer or a child protective service agent from the county on your doorstep. Or a cop with a warrant to enter and examine your house, your child, and whatever else the judge wants. Most of you have never been served with a warrant or accused of a crime or questioned by police while your neighbors peer through their curtains at the event. Most of you will do just about anything to avoid that.

And anyway, most of you, I daresay, already send your child to public school where they are getting toxic material pumped into their brains on a daily basis.

You will bend over and get the shots so the kids can go to school and you won’t have to be on the defensive legally.

Then there are others who’ll need a little more encouragement. The authorities will explain to you that the kids can’t attend without the shot and this unexcused absence will go on the children’s records and hurt their prospects, like college entrance.

Then there are those who will be financially damaged by the legal fees you’ll have to shell out.

And the adverse publicity.

And some of you will be unlucky and get fascistic cps workers or judges who will take the kids on whatever pretext it pleases them to invent; and that goes on your record and the kids’. The state will have a file on them until they’re 18; who gets to see this file is anybody’s guess. Good luck. (And good luck hanging onto your firearms permits with any kind of history of social workers having to come and intervene in your affairs.)

But somebody holding the kids down and jabbing them...that’s so crude. Don’t worry. That does not happen.

Don’t forget to read my tagline.

That’s such a good comparison. They really are like children. They run around calling one another names and trying to get away with sneaky things, then they back off and blame everyone else when it all backfires.

This is out and out nanny state fascism. Why just kids? Shouldn't every state resident be required to be vaccinated? May I see your vaccination papers please? What are we allowing ourselves to become? This is out right insanity.

Hmm, New Jersey — you don’t mean that little state that has all the big drug companies, do you? What a coinkidink that the state has a contract with some of them to buy this junk and force it down citizens’ throats (or rather, up their noses!)

My grandad said when he was around 7 you couldn’t go to school unless you were vaccinated against small pox. This was right after WWII.

“TY, I’m in NJ too. I have children in elementary school. No official word through the school channels about this. Our schools are in a tiny Red enclave, they tell us everything!!!”

Thanks! It’s still in “breaking news,” with 300+ comments so far....most believing it’s true. Glad you and I know better. :)

What’s funny is the FReeper who started has not been commenting. I think she/he realizes it was a mistake.

Every state does NOT “require” vaccinations for school attendence. All have some exemptions. Many have medical, religious, AND philosophical exemptions.

The schools just like to LIE about “mandatory immunizations”.

Tax laws force hospitals to differentiate between sick days and vacation days so a lot of hospitals have gone to a “time or PTO bank” and have gotten rid of sick time. Any accumulations of employees’ vacation/sick time has to be considered a debt to the company under financial and tax laws which can make a company look weaker financially than it really is. So geting rid oa a sick bank or combining it with vacation time saves the company money

Where I work we do have a “sick” bank but you have to use 2 “pto” days in one “occurence” before you can use a “sick: bank day,,,ie. a small surgical procedure that keeps you out a week. The “sick” bank accumulates much more slowly than PTO and I don’t get to take it with me if I leave the company. Both the PTO and sick banks have maximum caps on them.

After reading your post, it seems like the government rules are a bit heavy....and its not going to get better with Obama care....

I retired in the mid 80's to become a goat herder, it was the best move I ever made....Loved taking care of patients, but short staffing made that a little difficult at times..

Is this a Dem Leg. law or one that Corzine put forward through his executive order? If either or both, Pubs ought to use that as another ad in the upcoming Nov. elections. Freedom is still a right here even though Dems are out to stiffle choice in all things but abortion and apparently lying.
