I think the Republicans are the majority in the 100 member House of Delegates and the Democrats have a small majority in the 40 member Senate.

My experience is that controlling the legislature is what really matters.

That’s correct.

All 100 members of the HOD are up this year (Senate in 2011). We will most defintely hold the majority and could possibly increase the margin.
