Holdren: Seize babies born to unwed women
WorldNetDaily ^ | SEPTEMBER 29, 2009 | Jerome Corsi

Posted on 09/29/2009 5:37:10 PM PDT by RobinMasters

Obama science czar John Holdren stated in a college textbook that "illegitimate children" born to unwed mothers could be taken by the government and put up for adoption if the mother refused to have an abortion.

Holdren, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, argued that "illegitimate childbearing could be strongly discouraged" as a socioeconomic measure imposed to control population growth.

As previously reported, WND has obtained a copy of the 1970s college textbook "Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment" that Ehrlich co-authored with Malthusian population alarmist Paul R. Ehrlich and Ehrlich's wife, Anne. The authors argued involuntary birth-control measures, including forced sterilization, may be necessary and morally acceptable under extreme conditions, such as widespread famine brought about by "climate change."

On page 786, the authors wrote that one way to discourage illegitimate childbearing "might be to insist that all illegitimate babies be put up for adoption – especially those born to minors who generally are not capable of caring properly for a child alone."

“Holdren laments that he was born about 50 years too late.”

No, it appears his timing is perfect.

All have been selected, according to the plan.

I had the same thought.

Coming from the same people who encourage out of wedlock births. These people are nuts.

>>Even more, how about we stop condoning and even encouraging pre-marital sex and teach kids to respect themselves and their bodies’ God-given miracle of reproduction?<<

Exactly. I find it ironic that conservative parents encourage their unmarried daughters to keep babies when that baby could go to a loving couple who would raise the baby in a complete home.

Adoption not Abortion.
Chastity is a gift from Our Lord.

I don’t think this is change that most Americans believe in.

Coming from the same people who encourage out of wedlock births.

As soon as I read the headline, a song lyric popped into my head:

And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of our wrongs
They decide and the shotgun sings a song...

the Who, Won't Get Fooled Again

Yes, you’re absolutely right. So it’s incredible that it’s the Right that they’ve managed to associate with Facism. I detest these people more every day...

I understand your frustrations, I think we all do. But remember people like Hannah Giles, "just one women", who has singlehandedly left her mark on government (and ACORN).

Keep your chin up!

Seemingly daily now, we are hearing of new, incomprehensible evils that have been recruited to expedite Obama's mission.

It's like a freakin ghoul fest, the Cabinet of The Damned.

The left is always willing to trumpet Ike's caution about the "military-industrial complex," but somehow always fails to mention the second admonition he made in that very same address, which could have been written directly about people like Holdren...

"The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present – and is gravely to be regarded.

Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite."

“What can I, one single woman do about it?”

Rush told Susan from Glendale today, when she asked this question, that she just did something great with her eloquent phone call. Listeners all over the country would hear her message.

Potlatch, you have national exposure, too, every day. Keep up your great graphics and animations, and you’re doing A LOT!

(Check your e-mail for transcript of today’s fantastic call)

nuts

but I have often wondered what would be an alternative to end the cycle of ghetto children being unraised

obviously not abortion but what?

can’t take the kids and have the churches raise them...

we almost need to start over completely to end the cycle
