All tidbits of insider esoteric knowledge aside,
dynamic wave/beach areas can and do frequently exhibit sudden increase in water level of 2-3 ft or more from the surge of an increasing tide and sudden increase in wave size
from offshore storms. Thats normal! We get unusual events from offhsore storms driving into shore with 20ft seas that are much more bigger of deal, but the coast and people handle it year in and year out. Repeat, All fear mongering aside, This tsunami is strictly a non-event.
