I think this could actually come out better than 5-4, I could even see 7-2. Regardless of political leanings, the 2nd A is very clearly stated.

Having only been aware of the Due Process Clause route of incorporation, I just looked up the Privileges or Immunities Clause you cited. It's amazing we actually need lawyers to argue about this stuff. I guess I'm just not nuanced enough to know what the definition of is is.

I hear ya. Even with a legal CCL and being a totally justified self-defense shooting, its a tremendous hassle and expense to have to go thru. I can see why someone would want to do just that: “keep walking after defending your life”. Just one of the many reasons, I switched to a S&W Model 442 Airweight revolver with +Ps from a Ruger LCP autoloader as my CC SD gun.
