Burned by Obama (Why supporters turning on The One)
ny post ^ | 9/30/2009 | charlie gasparino

In the depths of the financial crisis last year, people like Morgan Stanley's John Mack, BlackRock's Larry Fink, Greg Fleming (then of Merrill Lynch), JP Morgan's Jamie Dimon and Goldman Sachs' Lloyd Blankfein were telling everyone that candidate Barack Obama was a "moderate," and moderation was what this country needed.

What a difference a year makes. They won't admit it in public -- but in private conversations, the top guys on Wall Street are feeling burned.

I'm told that Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and chief economic adviser Lawrence Summers have both complained to senior Wall Street execs that they have almost no say in major policy decisions. Obama economic counselor Paul Volcker, the former Fed chairman, is barely consulted at all on just about anything -- not even issues involving the banking system, of which he is among the world's leading authorities.

At most, the economic people and their staffs get asked to do cost analyses of Obama's initiatives for the White House political people -- who then ignore their advice.

This may be one of the most illuminating articles on why people like Howard Fineman and Richard Cohen putting out articles trashing Obama this week. Even though they are not financial reporters like Gasparino, they are libs and part of the elite who got Obama elected in the first place.

That Wall St, is populated by crooks and whores who will sell themselves to either party is not a secret. Wall St bigwigs give MORE money to Dems than Republicans each election cycle and thought they had a compliant, inexperienced, controllable dufus in Obama. He told them all the right things, seemed moderate in his public personna, and Wall St and the financial elite backed him big time.

Now that he is in office, his true colors are emerging. His Marxist, redistributive, narcissistic self is emerging more and more each day. The Geitherner's, Volckers, Romers, etc who advise him on economic matters are being totally ignored as he continues to destroy our economy through reckless spending, cap and tax, health care, etc.

What is REALLY important is that the lefty elites who crave power, but do not actually want to see capitalism (if we can call the crony capitalism we have today actual capitalism) destroyed, have realized what a huge mistake they made backing Obama. Rather than quit his cabinet and destroy his Presidency, I believe they are suing their friends in the MSM elite to send a warning to Obama. The Howard Finemans and Richard Cohens calling out Obama for his hubris is a not to subtle warning to him to get back in line or else.

The Wall St elites and their allies on the Obama economic team will not abide him destroying the country. It makes a lot of sense after reading that Gasparino says Obama is ignoring his economic advisors to pursue his marxist ideology that people in the know are alarmed. Whether they will have the guts to quit and publicly call him out for what he is seems to be another story.

In my 50 years on this planet, I have never witnessed someone pissing off so many people, from so many places, so very quickly.

I think your analysis of this is very good. Obama is treating the financial people the way he is treating the rest of the constitutionally established offices, advisors, etc.: he’s simply skipping past them and huddling with his Marxist Third-World inner circle.

Apparely Geither, Volcker, et al. are suddenly realizing that they are just eyewash, and the real things that are going on are things over which they have no control and of which they would not approve.

After listening to Jack Kelly last night say that his contacts high up in the French intelligence and diplomatic circles told him that Sarkozy said Obama was not only terribly naive, but had the biggest ego he had ever seen, the pieces are all coming together for me.

This last quote attributed to Obama says all you need to know..............The executive said he told the president that he’s at a disadvantage because he’s relatively inexperienced in economic matters during a time of economic crisis. “That’s why I have Valerie,” came Obama’s reply.

“Valerie” is senior adviser Valerie Jarrett — a Chicago real-estate attorney and one of Obama’s closest friends, who has deep ties to the Windy City’s Democratic political machine.

Now you know why Wall Street is so nervous.

That he trusts a friend who grew up in the Chicago Machine for his economic advice over someone like Volcker or Summers is scary indeed.

This is ALL about payback. Especially to the arrogant snots who fell for the hopey change routine. Your wailing and moaning is sweet music in his vengeful mind.

Future dictators have a habit of doing just this. They feel they don’t need to consult anyone. The left better shut this guy down before it’s to late.

Well what happened when Obama won was the Washington Clinton machine got replaced by the Chicago machine and they kind of had to go with Obama because he won.
I think the Chicago machine is more about making money and getting rich, and Obama who is an obvious Marxist is pushing his agenda.
Both the Chicago Machine and Obama want to increase government employment and unions to maintain national power and ability to get personally rich.
We are in dangerous times though and we got a President acts STUPIDLY in every way.

He is a failed President already before the first year is done.

Here’s BO’s latest effort to calm his base down...

“Have I Told You Lately?” (apologies to Van Morrison and Rod Stewart)

Have I told you lately that I’m a black guy?
Can I serve you some more pie in the sky?
I gush forth “cool” and “vibrance”
Like a million fire hydrants.
Ease your guilt trip , that’s what I do

Have I told you lately that I’m a black guy?
Last year, when I said “Jump!”, y’all asked “how high”?
Damn, you folks were easy-
You’d have voted for George and Weezy.
Soothe your self loathing, that’s what I do.

Have I told you lately how I scammed you?”
Hell, I mean even my minister “God damned” you!
I could spit in your faces.
You won’t object-’cause that’d be racist.
Kneel before me, that’s what you do.

I knew the reason I’d win,
was the color of my skin.
I played you all just like a fool.
No one cared if I lied,
Or that I was unqualified.
You just wanted to feel cool.

Have you noticed lately-we’ve been stumbling?
And it’s due primarily to my bumbling
Now I need you to be patient,
As I go out on vacation.
Get my groove on, that’s what I do.

Will Iran be free? Oh I guess one day.
Now shut up, and let me eat my sundae.
I don’t give a damn ‘bout Neda-
Just listen to my, er, the Supreme Leader
I’ll vote “present”, that’s what I do.

Have I told you America, how much I hate you?
And I’m, oh so glad to eviscerate you?
I don’t see “lefties” or “righties”-
Just see a bunch of whities.
Get some payback, that’s what I do.

Oh yes, I know you’re stressin’
as I lead us into a depression
But that’s too bad, cause it’s too late.
As things go from bad to worse,
celebrate that I’m “diverse”.
Then bend over and accept your fate.

Now that I’m in charge, we do things my way,
And when I get done, we’ll be like Zimbabwe.
All of this liberal madness,
is gonna end in sadness.
Join the Third World, that’s what we’ll do
