Oh come on now, every big city has rats and bums, Chicago doesn’t have a monopoly on those! As for obscene phone calls, I don’t pick up if I don’t recognize the caller ID so I can’t comment.
Chicago has good points and bad points like any other town, but the bad points are really bad. Going to high school within walking distance of the projects, dealing with corrupt fascist Chicago cops, walking through Uptown after sunset; these aren’t things I would recommend to anyone.
I live here and hope we don’t get the Olympics because it would be a travesty. Just the fact that they are planning to hold most of the events in some of the roughest neighborhoods is reason alone to shudder at the thought of what will happen when thousands of clueless foreign tourists with full wallets show up there...
