Jack prefers older women. At least 25.

Also Wes Anderson.

A massive disappointment for me. I never knew he was such a nitwit.

L&O has survived by the good graces of NBC and taking news stories and writing episodes. In their promos they say “ripped from the headlines.” They really mean ripped-off.

Not necessarily. In the Seventies, I stayed at a hotel in St. Tropez. The receptionist was Algerian (and daughter of the hotel owner) and very friendly. Although she claimed to be Muslim, she didn’t pray or go to services - pretty darn secular by today’s standards. A lot of North African women (Moroccan and Algerian) I met in Europe seemed to have more readily adapted their host country’s mores. I thought she was hot because she reminded me of Cyd Charise - almost all legs.

More reason for ALL FReepers to boycott hollywood movies.
Can we make an impact??? I believe so.
But sadly, entertainment is too much of a priority for some...

95% of these perverts are communists in the French Cinema, making the worst movies on the planet.

(Except Luc Besson, not on the list and the only French dude who can make a decent movie)

Seems to me that is a list of 100 who should be charged with aiding and abeting a pedophile. Non celebrity pedophile rapists get 10 to 40 years. Polanski is a convicted criminal who took flight to avoid sentencing, and on that charge alone should be extridited post haste, tried for fleight, then sentenced for rape of a minor and escape.

Instead of spending money on going to the movies, divert that amount to charities that support our troops. These idiot actors earn millions while our troops earn so little.

Top reasons why celebrities (and others) might excuse criminals like Polanski (and others who’ve committed similar crimes):

1. They’ve done it themselves
2. They might do it themselves
3. The criminals are “talented” and such talent is more important than whatever justice might be required
4. The victim was too tempting and the criminal was “only human”
5. The criminals have similar talents to those celebrities
6. The criminals earn a lot of money for their industry
7. The criminal is a sympathetic figure
8. The crime happened a long time ago
9. None of the celebrities or their relatives were harmed by the criminal
10. The victim is now dead or doesn’t care to pursue the charges or to see justice done after so many years
11. The victim “asked for it”
12. The justice system didn’t consider the consequences to the criminal’s family
13. The criminal reminds them of another criminal who was “unjustly” accused and impeached while being president

Heck, I’m sure there are thousands more.

That seems like a good list of people never to patronize again.

Faith Akin from Wiki: Themes In Fatih Akın's cinema, the lives of German Turks are a recurring theme. Their struggles and their confusion about two different cultures. In Head-On, two different cultures are presented, the conservative Muslim and Turkish view of Sibel's family, and Sibel's open ideas about sex. Cahit is presented to be somewhat a mixture of these two ideas and cultures, representing a struggling Turk. Akin, on the other hand, has never denied his Turkish roots and even accepted the Cannes award in the name of Turkish cinema.[5] [edit] Political controversy Akin has been criticized for actions that have been interpreted by some [6] as trivializing the holocaust and was investigated by German police for wearing a T-shirt with a Nazi swastika in place of the letter "S" in the word "BUSH". [7] Akin defended the T-Shirt as being "more than mere provocation" and emphasized: "Bush's policy is comparable with that of the Third Reich. I think that under Bush, Hollywood has been making certain films at the request of The Pentagon to normalise things like torture and Guantanamo. I'm convinced the Bush administration wants a third world war. I think they're fascists." [8]

Nobody I give a fart in a high wind for. Pervs, Frenchmen, and self-absorbed has-beens. But an excellent list for future reference. Saves the labor of building a black list from scratch.

Luc Besson co-wrote “Taken”, the film starring Liam Neeson about an ex-spy saving his kidnapped daughter from sex slavery, so I was hoping he wasn’t on this list.

And here’s a quote from http://blog.movieset.com/2009/09/29/director-roman-polanski-arrested-switzerland/:

“Luc Besson, for instance, remarked: ‘I do not know the history of the process. (…) I feel a lot of affection for [Polanski], he’s a man I really like and I know him a bit, our daughters are very good friends but there is a justice, [and] it is the same for everyone’.”

(He better watch his daughter!)
