I'm pretty sure most would opt for private health insurance after a few bad experiences with paid Medicaid.

One of my local papers has an AP article about the cost of insurance premiums, with the implication that all middle-class families will go from $0 to $7,110 in annual premiums because of ObamaCare. Gee, I wish my family coverage was only $7,110 per year. Or even the $11,xxx total cost cited in the article.

It sounds like the media wants to avoid pointing out that only the fiscally irresponsible will be going from 0 to 7K or 11K. If they want to keep spreading this, they will need bigger shovels. Maybe we can run a fund-raiser for them.

Interesting. Seems the Indiana GOP is wasting an opportunity to unseat Bayh. People are angry with the current direction. Bayh has done nothing to reverse it and as you said, votes with Pelosi, domestically.

The two biggest population centers in Indiana are Indianapolis and Gary. Gary is completely democrat and the Indianapolis metro area (inner city) is democrat. There is only one paper in Indianapolis, and it is a Gannet paper which backs Bayh. Local TV likes Bayh because he is photogenic and isn't crazy sounding.

Very difficult to win against Bayh, who gets NO bad publicity.

It was a great conservative paper when Dan Quayle’s family owned it.

Yes, it was. The Pulliams selling it to Gannett was a complete betrayal of the people of Indianapolis.

Now the paper is full of PC stories, liberal columnists, and snarky comments about Republicans.

I only take the Sunday paper for the ads and coupons. Cancelled daily service many moons ago.

All brilliant suggestions that are discarded by a rat led Congress that wants all socialism all the time.

We are totally screwed with this gang in office and the big question is whether or not we have learned anything by it or not.

Will the RNC still put forth rinos like Crist or McCain while ignoring Palin, Rubio and others that have conservative values? The next three years can either kill the massive move to socialism or enhance it.

Lets hope for the best.

The only "given" is that we will do our part here in the New Media.

Your post 136: before we start tinkering even more with the Internal Revenue Code (motto; we will leave no social engineering plan unfunded) we need a more basic reform.

In "The Moon is a harsh Mistress" the author proposes a legislature where, for two years, and and all new proposals require a 2/3 majority to become law. In year three, the legislature can only repeal existing laws, with 1/3 or more vote to do so.

We could call it the "Upon Further Review" reform. And replace the BeltWay media with John Madden, so we can enjoy the play-by-play.

Morning ABB, All....

...just got back from church...singing in the choir. somebody ‘splain to me why folks join a choir but only show up oncit in a while?

There was only ONE alto this morning...which was ME. Fortunately the anthem was a song that we knew well. Only three sopranos, one bass, one tenor. I’m thinking the congregation thought we was pulling their leg calling that group a choir.

It isn’t the mass time either....lots of times we sing at the early mass and the choir people show up.

Anyhoo...good schadenfreud this Friday, I finally have a weekend with no visitors...good to see y’all.

Until a little over a year ago Japan owned more of our debt than China. I don’t remember everybody wringing their hands about being “owned” by Japan. Fact is most of our debt is owned by Americans.....http://www.treas.gov/tic/mfh.txt

You can’t beat somebody with nobody. We need candidates who are on the same page with us. Apparently not easy to find, or when they are located the media savages them right out of the box.

My guess is its all about inflation, and that may not hit until the economy makes a recovery of sorts, if that even happens. The only thing we should know for sure is the debt that zero and others have built can not be paid off with a strong dollar but only in worthless notes.

Won’t work, I have to wait for zero to provide new material. Of course, that’s his contribution for us to use between now and when he loses in 2012.

I didn’t know Rush started that! Cool! I heard it first here on FR when zero and crew lost the Olympic bid.

Oh boy...glad you’re discussing the Olympics.

Last I read, the Chicago people, including Biden who was part of it, all told Obamer and the lacklusters in the White House that it was down tight between two cities. Rio was one and Chicago the other.

So the lacklusters sent The Won, once they heard this assessment from the fine, fine Chicago group. The logic was that with the finish line so near and the race so tight between the two cities, a visit by The Obamessiah would be the thing that would push Chicago over the finish line first.

Heh.

Michelle gave a perfectly horrible speech followed by an equally awful one by Obamer Hisself.

Thing is...the Chicago people told the lacklusters that it was down to two cities and THEY BELIEVED IT with no bother of checking.

so now we must ask...WHO IS REALLY RUNNING THIS ADMINISTRATION?
