President Obama's National Security Adviser James L. Jones suggested Sunday that the public campaign being conducted by the U.S. commander in Afghanistan on behalf of his war strategy is complicating the internal White House review now underway, saying that "it is better for military advice to come up through the chain of command

"We will be examining different options," said Jones, a retired Marine general and former Supreme Allied Commander Europe.

Maybe Nancy Pelosi could invite the Taliban over to her San Francisco mansion for tea. She could show them her collection of tea cozies. I'm sure the Taliban will be so impressed, they will surrender immediately and turn over their arms.

That pos in the white house is not man enough to be in the company of his field commanders. Twenty five minutes is about all he could take and not melt into a puddle of feces on the floor.

Oh, so....in other words (leftist translation)....they’re telling McChrystal to STFU. McChrystal and any other general that might want to go ‘on record’.

How very not surprising, coming from a CIC that’s afraid to be in the presence of the average military person cause he’s afraid that they DO see right through him.

And he’s right.

Zero got his 25 minutes of sit down time and the accompanying Pr that went with it. Now it’s time to throw the general under the bus.

And when the “Chain of Command” doesn’t respond a good leader does what he must to protect his troops, whether from the enemy or spineless, cowardly, and honorless politicians.

Glen Beck fears that The Joker is willing to let our soldiers die en masse in Afghanistan and then he(the Joker) will use their deaths to promote a pull out of Afghanistan. If this is the case its a no- win scenario.

I knew there would be a backlash. Zero’s arrogance demands that he ‘get even’ with somebody over his IOC disaster/fiasco. I just thought it would be us conservatives/taxpayers that took the hit. Looks like it just might be BOTH now, cause Zero is just getting started exacting revenge on America.

“”it is better for military advice to come up through the chain of command”

Unless the advice it keeps getting detoured to the the dumpster, then the correct thing to do is to notify the "chain" that they are about to be bypassed......give them a few days to think about it, then pull the trigger and DO the bypass.

This Administration had better start listening to its officers in the field.

"Obama is stalling "

Can someone explain the concept that McChrystal wrote a report at the end of August "and the report is expected to be delivered to the President soon"? Has nobody heard of FedEx? Why is the press not curious about this strange construction?

seriously,....what is this about?

That was what I thought, too. He can't believe he was dissed this way (in his mind, because everything to him is personal), he's angry, and he's going to take it out on somebody. You may be right that this is what he's going to focus on.

"it is better for military advice to come up through the chain of command..."

So is that why General McChrystal is being advised of the President's position by the NSA Director through the New York Times???

Every day Obama is in office is another day our troops are being led by an incompetent idiot for a Commander-in-Chief!

I bet he already tried the “Chain of Command” and didn’t get anywhere. He does not want the bloodbath and ultimate surrender to be hung on this head. I’m glad it is out there for all of us to see, although my heart breaks for our military being left to hang in the wind.

IF you are a commie/terrorist like zero one of your missions would be to destroy the military in plain sight. What better way then to leave it hanging in an untenable situation especially when large percentages of the country support doing nothing.

The 25 minutes is bogus, IMO. Why 25? My guess is it includes the general's exiting his vehicle, boarding AF1, waiting to be shown in to Zero's office, between 10 and 15 minutes of face time, and the general deplaning.
