Romney goes on fundraising tear [attempt to co-opt the GOP for a 2012 run?]

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) is fundraising his way across the country, raising suspicions that the 2008 presidential contender is gearing up for another run.

Romney held fundraisers for his Free and Strong America political action committee in three states and the District of Columbia in September, and he will hold two more in Texas and Missouri this week, a spokesman confirmed to The Hill.

"Mitt Romney is doing what he can to strengthen the Republican Party nationally and help its candidates be successful, and that is going to take up more and more of his time as we get deeper into the 2010 cycle," spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom said.

RINO?

I was kind of thinking of Romney as a DIPO -- a Democrat in Practical Orthopraxy

Why would any conservative want to defend his social issues record?

“Romney is a bigger threat to America than Obama. Christians need to be organized to defeat this spiritually deaf man.”

Just amazing.

but how do you come to that conclusion?

Because Romney convinced McCain to vote for the Bush-Paulson fascist bailout, sealing McCain's loss in the election.

He needs to pack it in and just go home.

Hog wash.
McCain lost because he was a terrible candidate.
He was “reaching across the aisle” all the way through the campaign
He is a walking “Stockholm Syndrome.”
It would be difficult to conceive of a more rediculous candidate than McCain.
You don’t have to look beyond that to explain why McCain lost.
It was true that the financial system was about to fall apart. And it still is. We see the crumbling taking place in each days news.

Who beat Romney...

So by logical extension...

I will leave TARP alone since you think Mitt is worthy of Conservative consideration I doubt explaining to you how bad an idea TARP will prove to be would be very useful...

You are so STUCK on McCain when the discussion is ROMNEY.
You’ve been attacking McCain and GOv. Palin since before
the voting in THE LAST ELECTION.

Romney did talk McCain into supporting the bailout,
and then Romney secretly attacked Gov. Palin’s handicapped
child. How Romney is that?

Romney reminds me of this SNL Belushi Skit....

Someone needs to tell Mitt politely: "Ba-Bye"...

There are reasons enough to defeat Mitt on political grounds before even getting to his religion.

He’s trying to buy the GOP and is currently putting former staff members in key state level campaigns across the country. Thing is though, the GOP grassroots is not going to vote for him, no matter how much money he raises nor how many political chits he buys.

That was the Royal “you” in the second
sentence; As in “you all have been”,
referring to Team Romney and the involved RomneyBOTs.
