On year where I work we had a huge influx of welfare mothers and people in work release came to find out that the company got a tax credit/break for hiring them through something that slick willy had put into law may of been the welfare reform act.

I remember when the law passed; the impact was felt years later as the 5 years eligibilty expired. These people had no English skills, never mind job skills, and behaved in a workplace cubicle the way they did on a tenement stoop. They couldn’t get along with productive workers, really couldn’t even understand anything about a work ethic. They didn’t last long, and now have been replaced by similarly skilled but more motivated Hispanics.
