In the end people in the media are lazy. They sit in their offices and pick stories off the AP to copy or plagiarize.
They think of themselves as celebrities, more important than the people they cover. They work harder to be invited to all of the best events and parties than obtaining any story which might prove to be beneficial to their audiences. They will change when their employers demand they get off their as.... and actually do their jobs according to their employers current political slant.
