Remember the Statists have taken the reins of power and they have no problem using coercion if it suits their purposes. This includes co-opting law enforcement to achieve their aims. About a month ago there was a video posted on the subject of taking the 5th amendment when questioned by law enforcement when you are the focus of an investigation.

The best lesson that Matthew can learn is that authority figures in the government cannot be given unconditional trust. I teach my children to respect authority figures and to be polite, but also to be vigilant in defending their rights.
