Maine is certainly NOT a conservative state. In fact, it is almost as crunchy as Vermont but without the hippie factor. She is getting a lot of pressure from folks in this state and voices like mine are in the minority. I’d move but it’s just so damned gorgeous here!

I realize that even if you vote no for this bill it will still be passed out of committee. I also realize that your vote may cost you ranking or a committee position. However, there comes a time when one must stand up for the greater good. This is one of those times. If you proceed to vote yes on this bill I will be sending a check to your primary challenger for $2000.00. I will also work in whatever capacity I am able to make sure that your primary challenger succeeds. If we are unable to succeed in the primary campaign I will send the same $2000 check to your Democratic opponent. I will also work for that opponent to defeat you as well.
