A Washington lawyer notes that campaign filings show Wexler has paid fees to four law firms apparently related to an investigation of potentially improper corporate contributions from a Florida investment firm to his House campaign last year. About $3000 in legal consultations and fees noted in filings here, and about $5000 in legal fees recorded in filings here. He hasn’t filed for October, my colleague Jonathan Allen notes. By comparison, Rep. Rangel is clocking in at more than $100,000 a month, Allen says. Wexler did not respond to an emailed query.
