So, I take it you would answer ‘yes’ when asked if you would take money from your grandchildren-— and great grandchildren though perhaps yet to be born? The nation’s original sin was slavery, our sin today is generational theft in the name of entitlement. It took a Civil War to do penance for the former-— penance is yet unpaid for the latter, but it will be paid by those not responsible.

True. But sadly, giving younger generations too much makes them soft. It's what most parents try to do or want to do - give their kids an easier life than they had. But most times, it backfires.
