This makes me SO proud. To think of the sacrifices all of us are making as our family members serve, the lives that are being lost and irrevocably altered when ammo runs out and supplies are low. What a total bunch of schmucks (and, yes, Dad, I know EXACTLY what that word means and I have chosen it ON PURPOSE).

I always like to name names: here are the ones who did this
Inouye, John Kerry (surprise), Mary L. Landrieu, David Vitter, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins.

It's beyond the pale.To call it treasonous is an understatement.

Troop funds diverted to pet projects; $20M for Ted Kennedy institute...
http://washingtontimes.com/news/2009/oct/15/troop-funds-diverted-to-pet-projects/
Among the 778 such projects, known as earmarks, packed into the bill: $25 million for a new World War II museum at the University of New Orleans and $20 million to launch an educational institute named after the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat.
While earmarks are hardly new in Washington, “in 30 years on Capitol Hill, I never saw Congress mangle the defense budget as badly as this year,” said Winslow Wheeler, a former Senate staffer who worked on defense funding and oversight for both Republicans and Democrats. He is now a senior fellow at the Center for Defense Information, an independent research organization.
Money for the Kennedy Institute was inserted by Mr. Inouye and Sen. John Kerry, Massachusetts Democrat.
- $25 million inserted by Mr. Inouye for the Hawaii Federal Health Care Network.
Mr. Inouye had a total of 35 earmarks worth more than $206 million in the final bill, and the ranking Republican on the committee, Sen. Thad Cochran of Mississippi, sponsored 48 worth $216 million.

As a recently retired Army Soldier (last week, from Benning), I am disgusted at this news. Unfortunately, my discharge documents had hussein’s name in a few places, too. But, I will continue to write my representatives and be active in our country’s politics until my last breath or until this sort of garbage stops happening. And to think that the VA has a huge backlog on pending claims for us injured/disabled veterans while they spend money on silly pet projects to honor themselves! Ughh.

Ridiculous. Our dog only costs us about $20 per week.

My anger is as high as it can be. They are ruining the greatest nation on earth. Those “pet projects” will be blown to smitherines soon enough, and there won’t be a damn thing we can do about it. It will be Bush’s fault, though.
Let Iran have it’s nukes. Show Russia where OUR nukes are. Prop up and buddy up with dictaror scumbags. Cut our defense budget, and let our people die in Afghanistan rather than send them more support.
This administration is downright EVIL, pure and simple!
We are in big trouble, folks.
