Yes, I know what happened — here and there. I tried to give my son a history lesson before he made up his mind — strangely — it didn’t matter — he said the strangest thing (it seems now). He said, “This country is worth dying for — our way of life is worth dying for and it needs protection to keep it.” I looked into his baby blue eyes and realized he believes that with all his heart.
My golden boy — all 6’4” of muscle and might — a perfect body, perfect eyesight, perfect teeth (okay, dad and I popped for the braces), an arm any team in the league would die for, loves his country and his Marines more than I can fathom, but I love my Marine even more — so I love his Marines.
We must support those who fight for us and we will continue to fight for them on this end.
And Oorah! Please thank your Marine for his service from the bottom of my heart.:)
